I could go in my daughters room and fill like 4 bags of crap I think she doesn't need. The problem is her father doesn't want to get rid of ANY of her toys & he's the one with the car. I could also get rid of a bunch of his clothes that he never wears if I could get the car to get it out of the house.

cleaned our storage/toy room on this past Sunday, I felt so relaxed when I was done. I needed more room for storage units, so alot was thrown out. My girls are 8 and 13 and don't need so many useless toys anymore. Hubby gets mad, but never helps clean, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I totally do this. At least once a month. We have too much crap in our house and I'm always trying to get my mom to throw things out. She's thinks we need everything we have, and we don't. So, to kill my cabin fever, I purge my own things. I have the tidiest, most oragnized room in the house and it's a sanctuary. Garbage Bag Therapy WORKS.

My kids would freak if they came home and their stuff was gone. I think it is something you should do with your kids and let them be a part of it. Throwing their things out without them knowing is one way to create a hoarder.

Loved this Cas. And I understand how you feel about cabin fever. We also have one car, and my husband works aaallll the time, so I'm stuck at home almost 24/7. We moved to the country too so I can't walk anywhere with the kids to do anything, but we still go on just family walks in the evenings after supper. I'm gonna go get a garbage bag :)

Last night was our grocery shopping night, and the kids were of course being horrible 'cause DH was home super late, (of couse), and we were in the grocery store at like 7:30. Ridiculous. And so I took them out to the car and let them crawl around and listen to music. And as I was sitting there in the parking lot, I realized that I was just so happy to get out of the house! It was the hi-light of my week! How lame is that?!?

I do that when I deep clean certain rooms, trying to downsize my husband and mine's stuff to make room for future children. I grew up with the saying "out of site out of mind" for items that we no longer use or have forgotten. Unless it has personal information it gets donated or thrown out. Personal information stuff gets shredded first.

I do this, w- a Laundry basket & Garbage bag. Trash in Bag, & i fill the Laundry Basket with Stuff. The Stuff is things that need to be put up Wear they Belong &/or Anything that needs to be Donated. It Does Feel Good to do this...... But I can't LOL do this when I'm Feeling Grouchy or My Hubby Wouldn't Have ANYTHING ! Why, why, WHY are Men So LaZy at Home ????
