i watched this movie yesterday and i was amazed, the acting looked so effortless, christian Bale really embodied the character, this is another movie in which he had to lose a lot of weight for... As this is a true story for any one who feels like giving up on life watch it n b inspired cos Dieter never gave up...Luv the film, luv the acting, luv the soundtrack luv everytihng, luv luv luv it...

Rescue Dawn: Beautiful.Inspirational.A wonderful use of film.

Christian Bale: Truly Awesome. Could have competed with Forrest Whitacker for the Best Actor nomination.

Klaus Badelt: Exquisite. One of the most stunning scores I have ever listended to. A striking piece of art. What is a movie without music?Nothing. None of the the Best Original Score nominees for 2007 can compare.

My sincere thanks goes out to all those who made this film possible!

Wow,this was so beautiful accordtyper7.I just saw this movie today on Showtime.....again. It is one of Christian's best performances,bar none!!!Why hasn't this man been rewarded for this?!!!!!!!!! Boy,don't make me use caps lock,cause I'm pissed!!!!

First of all,Christian ate bugs,he did all his own stunts,he lost weight,he was physically hurt filming this movie,and it all went unnoticed,un-f*ckin-noticed!!! Had that been Pitt,DiCaprio,Clooney,they would have been nom'd for an Oscar:((

@Tgyrl66 don't worry about it going un-noticed, it happens all the time. just be glad that this film was done the RIGHT way as opposed to aiming for the ratings and glory. because after all.. it's story telling! not oscar striving and i'm so happy that i found this film without even knowing about it like yourself! just remember that you recognised this film for what it's purpose is, which is a remarkable true story!

i agree though, Bale's best performance thus far!!

Rescue Dawn was one of the best movies I've seen yet. It was very memorable and sad. The music was very well put together. I give that movie two thumbs up.
