  • @EnterMusicSG Try a paperclip with tape around it. Also some compressed air may help. Last option is to disassemble the phone. Good luck

  • Now a piece of the q-tip is stuck in there. Boy, did I do wrong by trying that method.

  • @Degiac22 Try compressed air.

  • zomg the q-tip thing worked!

  • sweet.... now theres tape stuck in there too...

  • With my headphones, you can't hear anything as soon as you plug them in. You have to wiggle it around and hold it down into the jack to get it to play.

  • My ear buds won't plug in all the way but I can still hear through the speaker on my iPod so nothing broke off but idk what is wrong with it

  • Watcout we got a badass over here

  • How can I clean the 3O pin connected on my iPhone 4s?, btw great video

  • this video was very helpful to me. I thought the headphone jack on my iphone was completly broken until I watched this and tried the paperclip thing. It works perfectly now! thanks!!

  • @GoGazelle thankyou for reply my phone was covered under warranty my I got it replaced, but ur advice was helpful!! :)

  • thanks sso much now my akg k350 remote work

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I was dealing with the jack situation for a very long while, and I forgot about the amazing internet ans youtube educational videos. I removed a nice little debris causing my headphone jack not getting inside completely, making it sound just on one side. That been said, I removed it and now it works!!!

  • air in a can?

  • My issue is that the jack doesn't work when the phone is all the way in. When it's barely in, I must apply pressure on the sides of the phone jack and I can hear it clearly. Just got new phones and now I know they aren't the problem. Does it need cleaning, or repair?

  • @brucenatelee this is the same as me!

  • @jackransell I learned to just use an air spray and spray it out to clear it. Took mine to Appe store and the guy said there was a fraction of an inch of dust in my jack.

  • My headphones randomly won't go into the socket anymore and i dont know why, what do you suggest i do?

  • @PrincessJasmin225 If you feel comfortable taking the phone apart try it...if not take it down to apple to see if they can help. You may have something stuck inside there. Try compressed air again

  • My iPhone 4 ( launch day ) only works on speaker phone. Iv tried to clean the jack still won't do anything, it's weird it happened when my phone died one night next boom! Only works on speaker mode any help?

  • I broke the metal end of my headphones inside the jack, and can't get it out. What can can I do to take it out

  • Use a Dentak hook and a small flashlight from Walmart. With a little patience it will get out whatever is jammed in there. Mine had lint, paper and fuzz in it and I get it all out. :)

  • i managed to fix my jack by shoving the end of my glasses frame in. Win?

  • When i put my headphones in I have to push the buds in to hear the music but its very faint. Helpp??

  • @PolymerPanda same and i dont know how to fix it fucking sux

  • thank you very much. I was a big help

  • thanks!

  • Just take it to apple n fix your headphone jack apple knows what to do.Or you'll prob get a.....new iPhone if you have a problem

  • my speaker still doesnt work =( but my head set works, how could I fix it??

  • and stupid.. dont insert those ear sticks in the jack port because fibers remain in there

  • I did that and it made it worse. This guys an asshole

  • i cleaned my headphone jack and still only my right headphone works when they are plugged in...please help :)

  • My ipod keeps pausing everyting I move my headphone wire tugs just a little or moves. What do you think the problem could be? I know it has to do with the jack. I've cleaned it out and it still does it.

  • Worked for me , Thanks !!!! =;-)

  • Can you help me please?!?!?

My headphones snapped off inside my iphone so its stuck in headphone mode and i cant plug my headphones in. Does anyone know how to help?

  • @pompey1121 You could try a really strong magnet...but be careful as magnets and phones don't get along. I would visit Apple and see what they can do for you. You can get it out if you open the phone apart, I am sure there is a video on iPhone disassemble, but it is very tricky on the iPhone 4. Good luck

  • @GoGazelle no, you should superglue a small dab from the left over metal to a paper clip. but make sure not to pour glue onto the jack itself.

  • @GoGazelle I have a similar problem but i only have the Right ear bud working if i work the jack around and hold it in a certain position the Left one will start working but if i let go it will stop working. Any help will be welcome thank you

  • @pompey1121 i got a stick with super glue on the tip and stuck it to the piece and then puleld it out when the glue hardened

  • @pompey1121 same ;/

  • @pompey1121 same here dude same here

  • @pompey1121 Tweezers

  • @pompey1121 i had this same problem, and i used cuticle cutters, the things that clear the dead skin off your fingernails to grab it and pull it out, and finepoint tweezers should work though. make sure you use tweezers though because knives can just push is farther in. Be patient and careful with it. take your time

  • @pompey1121 I ended up cracking the screen aswell so i sold it for £60 and got a htc wildfire s... does all the same stuff! iphones are very overrated i have found

  • On my iPhone I can't fit my headphones in I's it because it's dirty or do I just need to get a new jack please help ?

  • @cheekycam Try the cleaning method above in the video first. If that does not work and you have a warranty have Apple/AT&T look at it. Replacing hardware on your own should always be your last option if you do not feel comfortable ripping stuff apart. A new headphone jack should solve your problem. Good luck

  • @GoGazelle i done it turned out it was just a load of fluff stuck in the jack thanks for helping.

  • @GoGazelle My iphone was basically submerged in Gatorade and got into the jack what do you recommend doing?

  • @DavidIsTheWalrus power it off and put the phone in a bag of white rice for 24-48 hrs. the rice will absorb the moisture. Then power back on and shoot with some compressed air in the jack. Good luck

  • @GoGazelle IT WORKED THANKS!! :D

  • do you have to use that air can?

  • When I put my headphones in I have move the thing that gies into the iPod for it to play music do I have a shortage or do I have to clean it out?

  • @ThePurplelover122 Try cleaning it, but you may need a new jack from what it sound like. try cnn.cn

  • Followed this, more or less. Was getting sound in, but no sound out, on a plugin receiver I use to keep the phone away from my ear. (I'm sceptical about opinions that it is harmless having a transmitter capable of transmitting to a tower a kilometre away; jammed next to your brain).

It's working again now. Good vid.

  • my problem is similar to the other one my headphones (apple in-ear 2nd gen) don't full go in I have not yet tried the techniques in this video and will tonight for I believe some lint is in my headphone jack I'll comment again when I try tonight but can u think of anything else this may

  • hi my earphones i use for my iphone dont go fully in and the sound words in songs dont play properly and the songs sometimes start fast forwarding randomly is this an issue i can resolve with this please help thanks in advance

  • @cheif2345 You may need to disassemble the device and install a new Headphone Jack Ribbon w/ Switch. This may be a bit complex. You can always trade it in to us at Gazelle as most iPhones no matter what condition will have a minimum payout. Or a repair shop, but it sounds like a hardware issue. Good luck
