No, Tidus and Yuna dont die and yes, it is a dream, but in the end of the game Tidus does die and in FFX-2 he comes back to life if you finish the game with a 100%.

actually thats not true as tidus is actually dead when he arrives in spira he is a dream of the faith its just that with truly defeating sin and the aeons the fayth have no more power to keep tidus and all otther "unsents" in the world of the living. it is with the 100% score that the fayth bring tidus truly back to life to be with yuna

i know the background to all these games, i cried especially for FFX-2 and using shuyin as the sort of conductor or orchestrator of the entire song and what went on in the vid was genius, i loved this video to pieces.
