  • wow this what you call real music real dancers closest thing we have is house music real house music producers that know how to sample these true artist like ojays / gq/ heatwave not those pop artist these days being a dj / producer love this era.....

  • Watching these videos of Soul Train make me want to cry. They look like they're having a ball! If I could only take a step back during this time, I would take advantage of it. Watching these vids are my time machine. Being 18 years of age at this time sucks. Can't hear a song without sex or degrading a female being involved. As the O'Jays say, "I love music, just as long as it's groovin'!"

  • Love those times!!!

  • What was the name of the dance.....lol

  • IT WOULD BE SO NICE IF THEY DONE THAT THESE DAYS.

  • Goodtimes :)

  • I'VE SEEN LOADS OF SOULTRAIN LINES BUT THIS TO ME HAS TO ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE ONES AND IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOURITES !!!!!

  • They Were So Skinny Because Of This Dance !..

  • Back in the day, we did not have computers, cell phones and flat screens. We interacted with one another and we PARTIED and DANCED our asses off!

  • Love it...miss it...damn I'm old. LOL

  • they all do crack

  • songs like these aren't made anymore

  • So where are the fat people? I didn't see one!

  • @studiosinger, this was before everybody starting "super sizing" their meals and dancers got stiff and couldnt move...lol

  • Did I just see one of them doing the Dougie!?!?... That guy was ahead of his time..

  • i see ya @Knusound

  • It's like a 70's fashion show.

  • WTF? All these dudes from the 70s were all lean, fit and beautiful! What the hell happened all these years that most youngsters look overweight or simply obese today?

  • @antejutronic I agree, if guys are built like that today, they need to eat more, slim aint in the black community no more!

  • @antejutronic Genetically modified food and the creation of food deserts in black populated areas...

  • @antejutronic Negros today are lazy playing video games sittin on their fat asses. Maybe if they took a hint from the gays they could go to the gym. And ya'll dumb ass bitches need to get some common sense and stop trying to get pregnant from these broke bastards so you can collect some $400 child support and get a job of your own then maybe your black ass would be skinny also.

  • @MaxMikeLatino Aren't you ashamed of speaking like a KKK-WASP? Or you're conveniently forgetting that latinos (you call yourself maxmikelatino) suffer the same overweight, unemployment and unwanted pregnancy problems that plague Black people in the country?

  • @antejutronic yeah but we ain't parading our ass all on the 11'oclock news acting a fool.

  • @MaxMikeLatino

STFU, as far as we know your ignorant, uneducated ass probably turn tricks for a living and get gang bang in the fucking ass, in a dirty alley like a $5 whore in East LA somewhere. I hope imbeciles like you catch a damn disease in your mouth for saying moronic shit.

  • @antejutronic You wanted an answer and I'm here to tell you that the a-holes have added addictive chemicals to the food for profit!

  • internet, games, videos, and straight up laziness destroyed all that

  • @antejutronic You are aware that Soul Train handpicked the dancers that appeared on the shows? They weren't going to let the "obese" people on tv. Having been around back in the day I can tell you, there are the same amount of thin and heavy people now as back then.

  • thats a fro bro, lol

  • If i had a time machine i would go back 2 this i think i would fit right n.#oldsoul

  • @MrBadgirl25 I was just thinking that..

  • @Aplustradomus I don't knw what it is im jst crazy bout this music

  • did you see the guy at 2:12 ha ha ha he went ballistic

  • im lovin it

  • back in the 70's most kids didnt have cars, they had bikes... and if u grew up in the south and rual areas as many did, there were no buses. it was nothing for you to ride your bike 5-10 miles to the store or to a friends house and make it back before dark. lol

  • OMG, look at the guy in black at 2:08. How'd he do that with his head and fall down dizzy?

  • I LOVE MUSIC!!!! WOOTTTTT!!!!!

  • お前ら、この曲はフリーチャチャで踊れ!!

  • So many gorgeous ladies.

  • haha my mom was a senior in high school when this song came out and she still jams to it! lmao! ...and she made me love it too. yay for the o'jays and soul train! : )

  • I love music, and this Upload!!!

  • FLASHBACK!!!! Suddenly, I am back in my parent's living room watching Soul Train on Saturday morning after American Bandstand and cartoons. Ignoring my parents yelling at me to turn the TV off and go play outside!!

  • @jdanoz1 Yer right on the money!! haha, thats exactly what I used to do. too funny . I would always try to copy the the dance moves, of course they would come out as dance abortions haha but man I enjoyed Soul Trrain! thanks for sharing ;-)

  • And one of them is from Alabama!

  • Playing this on 33 all day(; Wish music had soul like this nowadays=/

  • Fab song, fab moves, fab clothes. I was a funkateer (still am) back in the 70's. I remember a lot of the lads here in the UK doing some of these moves. Happy times-wish I has a time machine!

  • Yes!!

  • Honey in blue dress 0:26-0:32... Oh yeah!

  • @Peace4905 No doubt; I was also feeling that baby blue more bounce to the ounce!

  • How did we go from I love music to fuck that bitch beats me. The devil is real!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn black ppl need to go back to having bodies like in the 70s everybody was in shape on that show.... One day one day

  • @IWannaBe120 Everybody was thinner in the 70s.

  • @ladyvee7110 I always notice that when I watch these old school vids. just lets you know how filthy food is today...

  • @BlacksAreBeautiful They had the same kind of filthy food, probably worse but it didn't have all the chemicals that today's food has. Less preservatives, wasn't made in a lab, etc.

  • @ladyvee7110 that's what I meant, although I would differ with you..if that food had less preservatives, HFCS and other toxins, then It def wasn't worse. :)

  • @ladyvee7110 Are you looking for something for human consumption that has no preservatives? Thank God there's still marijuana!

  • @Alikah1 ...Lol...what the heck are you talking about? Yeah...you must be high for real. That's ok, I know all the food talk and weed is giving you the munchies. :-D

  • great great great video!!!!

  • No diabetes, or hypertension or obesity back then. We were all THIN because we danced ALL THE TIME! And we used the entire body, not just pop n lock.

  • @MsJollycholly That is such an interesting comment - so true - the dancing was constant, steady movement with the whole entire body in motion smoothly and all at once. You were kinda moving toward the next move at every instant....always forward onto the next move; always a "forward-on" sort of thing. And, you're so right - all that DANCING AROUND kept a LOT of everybody trim. Hey, even the stocky folks were in SHAPE, man!....it didn't matter how you looked, folks were PHYSICALLY FIT!!

  • @MsJollycholly Many of us kids at the time consumed lots of sugar with our cereals and kool aid. I remember many kids would walk home from school or play running games like tag outside. Your right, you never heard of public service commerials on diabetes, hypertension, or obesity back then.

  • The energy this song puts out is totally off the chart. Ya jus dance like nothing matters.

  • hijos de mil que bien bailarn.... aprender de ustedes por siempreª!!!!!!!
