  • i hate how people say viola's weak and that you always have to chain her attacks....power isnt everything (and i proved this many times online) and besides combos are fun and shows that you have skills in the game <3 <3 VIOLA <3 <3

  • @WakeupSRK Maybe if I make a final combo video or a Viola beginner guide or something. Going through this with annotations hardly seems worth the time at the moment considering I'm thinking of making a final video.

  • Awesome combos, but how well do they work with smaller/lighter characters?

  • @KidKing229 They all work exactly the same. The only one that's iffy is the 2B+K relaunch after 9K into Dash->AAB series. It still works on smaller characters in small stages, but it's real tricky and position dependant.

  • Man, when I do N/O 1A+B 2B+K BE, sometimes the brave edge hits and the combo goes on, and sometimes the oponent is able to ukemi when they bounce on the ground... Does it need to be on CH?

  • Yeah I'm sure these won't work with air control. Even BBB (orb set) doesn't combo with air control.

  • @megacomrade23 Which is why he uses AAB instead of BBB since AAB is faster

  • How do you utilize her critical edge? I find it extremely underwhelming. When the opponent is blocking my critical edge I could only use grabs or unblockable, but the damages of both these moves without her orb are so insignificant...

  • @icefaii It's good for relieving pressure at times (Though you have to do it while safe.) It can also set up for 50/50s into ringout.

  • This is why SC5 sucks it's just Tekken with too many combos and juggling nothing like what Soul Calibur shud be

  • @0ldSkoolzGamer One character has these combos. Every other character that USED to have long combos now has significantly shorter ones. You are uninformed.

  • @DestinStrider As an addendum, a lot of those combos that juggle don't do monstrous Tekken damage. If you are only a Tekken fan, at least they'd know that if they wanted to bash SCV about it.

    That has to be CH. Also, the last B is not guaranteed. It seems the opponent can ukemi out of the way.

    You gonna play around with using her Critical Edge in combos? At least using it as the first hit, there definitely seems to be some interesting potential.

  • @ClaTheNinja Her CE seems to lack damage no matter what I do. If I combo into it, I get about 120 damage with a high execution combo. Around 100 damage with anything easy. Mostly I'm just using the CE to relieve pressure and to set up for ringouts.

  • @blaa15 The numbers represent the direction of the joystick. It's based on the number pad. 2 is down, 6 is right, 4 is left, 8 is up, 5 is neutral and so on.

  • @DestinStrider No the Big Arm boss battle theme is from Sonic & Knuckles I think which means it came out in the 90's. So I think they just borrowed part of the theme

  • @DestinStrider "Pre dates the 3DS"? What does that have to do with anything? The "Big Arm Boss Battle" song that dmosley229 is talking about is from Sonic The Hedgehog 3, which is a Sega Genesis game from 1994. I can promise you that Zircon's Necromancy song was created AFTER 1994.

  • @fearyourweapon Nope, but wouldn't matter. All the OTG stuff is off unshakeable ground stun. 

  • um i think some of these combos can be avoided if the person alters their falling direction in the air

  • Sweet video! Getting the game tomorrow (EU release) but for Xbox. My only recommendation is that you try to make more snippets of recordings using the Input Display (about half of them do) though regardless, some really neat combos you have =) I hope to re-learn Astaroth.

  • @findlay27 Input display's a little distracting. I did transcribe the video in the info already, don't really need that input display

  • @DestinStrider Bleh true, and understandable. I was thinking of more for timing inputs, not that Soul Calibur is the type of game that is strict that way.

    Quick favour though, do you know if 1[A] > 5B > Throw on bounce is still in for Astaroth? That is how I used to brush through Arcade Mode for the score achievement/trophy in SCIV >_>

  • @findlay27 1(A)B is still there, dunno if it bounces. I've never been hit by it. The AI is way better this time around.  Dunno if that'll work.
