I wish i had a three hour clip of just this and a TV screen for a ceiling. Maybe then I'll be able to get off YouTube and watch this until I go to sleep.
@hitlarspenis, Hi,Maybe you didn't realize that we can have streelights & other types of outdoor lighting AND starlight. It's a simple choice to keep lights pointed down and on target of what you're trying to light.Your desklight aims DOWN on your desk, right?Do you see the bulb? Can you see your paper clearly on your desk?Streetlights should point down and light only the streets.People have a false sense of security when they see streelight BULBS. This style fixture sends light 100 miles away.
people divide themselves according to place where they live ( europeans, americans ect.), religion, skin color, race and ect., but none of them calls him self a planet's Earth inhabitant. I've never been more proud to call myself Earth's inhabitant.
Hey, man, but we see cities and roads, and high altitude lightning that occur in ordinary storms, but also to the high altitude lightning. Where is the "unexplainable"? Scientists accept the high altitude lightnings as something obviously already.
At around 3:40 when it passes right above the aurora it's a bit freaky. It looks a bit kinda like flying above the surface of the sun except it's green instead of red.
@UpwardsFallings Now see, since Australia is upside down, they're just too scared to send them over for fear of falling out of their orbit. They need to grow some balls that's what.
@UpwardsFallings well, im just going to guess, and please correct me if any of this is wrong, but isnt most of australia's population in very small area's of the continent? Idk it seems like it might be to small to be all that interesting as a lot of the others. no offence intended.
@myr576 That's true and I guess that was the reason and I didn't have it in mind back then. They could've at least flew over Sydney, which is almost as large as LA and full of lights. It pisses me off they went EVERYWHERE, even the dark sahara, but not here.
Also, spacerip has left out Australia in so many videos, even in those that aren't about lightings and stuff (e.g. the continent drifting and all). It's the 5th largest country and a WHOLE continent, why always leave it out much?
@UpwardsFallings well I dont know, but i dont think they would have done it without some sort of reason. I mean for one Australia is seperated from the rest of the continents and correct me if im wrong but doesnt Australia sorta stay out of most world event... no offense intended
@myr576 It does join the Olympics and it's usually winner in many of the events. Let's not forget Hollywood famous actors like Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett, Eric Bana, Heath Ledger (Joker), Nicole Kidman and the main dude from Avatar - all Aussies and successful outside of Australia.
@UpwardsFallings I know, I was not talking about that I am talking about like wars and stuff, australia stayed neutral between it all. Nothing wrong with that, actually i think the U.S. may have been better off if it stayed neutral threw world events. again correct me if im wrong. But like i said before it can be sort of easy to pass up australia because its seperate from the rest of the world, I mean the thing is its own country its own continent wich can make it easy to passup
@UpwardsFallings but hey, i dont blame you for being mad, I understand you 100% and i agree with you but i just try to see things from the other side, even if i agree with them or not.
This filled me with a twinge of sadness. We're all so silly. Yet, look at us, all huddling in our little "tribes" toward light. We're all the same. We're all sitting here gushing over how beautiful we all are "down there" and how our world is. Let's at least all start acting like it.
So beautiful, yet deep inside that planet, its people are full of hate and are killing each other, failing to realize that the Universe doesn't give a damn on what they're fighting for...
Stared in awe for a full 4 mins. The lights connect as though they were neurons in a nwtwork. Flashes of lightning in the thunderstorms. Actual dances by the aurora borealis. I feel so small.
Why is they no one narration in this video. Anyone watching this for the 1st time would come up with their own conclusions as to why the video is so fast. Why the flash's in and around clouds. derrr!. Over 2000 years ago some humans excepted the belief in supernatural beings creating and causing events that they were to lazy to understand. I see the same shit going on yt. I see people want to believe in time travel but they don't understand basic Particle Physics is not the same as Newtonian.
It is beautiful. One can understand why the astronauts upon returning to Earth, share freely with everyone how we are all inter-connected for better or worse.
I for one would like it to be for the better, so if intent can create, lets push our various government politicians out of the way and create a better place for all of Earth's children! For me I feel that is what we were meant to do, but have lost our way.
Can you see the outline of the atmosphere? It's just a tiny thin layer of gases, water and some organic stuff. Not much protecting us from space. It looks so fragile.
now I know why "UFOs or Aliens" tend to be seen more in the US ... because they have the brightest area around the world in the dark. I live in South East Asia and I don't see as much lights as compared to the US and Europe
@honorific88 because everybody is too busy worrying what kind of stupid new gadget a company will announce . (-___-) we have lost our inspiration and enclosed our selves in a world full of materialism.
@ever2146 I'd say it's because we have no real access to space. When it comes to space, we're still an unborn child trapped in the womb on this planet.
I wish I had been born in some future time, but all we can do now is dream. It hurts to think about really.
@ever2146 I agree with everything except the enclosing ourselves in a world of materialism. Our entire universe material. We can't NOT be enclosed in materialism.
@tonyblackops: Low earth orbit is mostly below the van Allen belts; there are known high radiation locations in them, and these are avoided by both man and machine. Hardening of electronics, nominal shielding of humans. Avoiding, as much as possible, predicted solar storm occurrences. However, as Michener pointed out in his navel space, we have been lucky in that regard.
