  • How does that thing work? It'll need some downsizing to fit on a lawnmower ha ha

  • @ 0:30 woodgas horror movie, lolwut?

  • another demonstration video.... who do i have to fuck to see a how to video, other people out here in youtubeland might want to make one some day

  • Cool. I got my truck running on WG too. I've found that processing the fuel first gets a MUCH cleaner gas than raw wood chips. It will also start way sooner, like a few minutes instead of 20min. cheers

  • nice start! I failed to power my lawn mower with wood gas: in the fact I ruined the motor as i had to disassemble it too often to clean it from tar.

i could not get the right air to gas ratio t o make it run. Maybe it is easier to start with a larger engine so that the ratio is not too important. maybe my gas was still to wet and too much tar.

Good luck and keep on trying

    greetings from Germany

  • can you tell me where i can get plans to build this

  • The easiest filtration system I have seen is to just pass the cooled gas through a barrel filled with hay or straw. As long as the gas doesn't burn the hay, it will be almost completely tar free.

  • I want to see someone make one big enough for a generator to power up a home, and one that hooks up to a car engine with a bunch of old car alternators to power a home.. I would even pay for that one.

  • I have made a little unit with a 25 Hp watercooled Kolher engine, and and a 10 Kw Stamford Generator. It runs Great on Woodgas

  • Kewl My relitive pays 2,000 dollars a month in electric in the country. Been trying to find a cost effective way to generate electricity. Wind costs too much. They have car engines and lots of parts hanging around with pleanty of sticks, wood and grass.

  • your gas cooler, you could try putting the pipe on the upper bar instaed of on the other side

  • Thanks for the adwise. But my gascooler is made so the gas go in and up the 4 first pipes, acros the top bar, and down in the 4 last pipes......but i have made a new with finned tubes...hehe

  • oh ok :)

  • @servteqh

Is the cooler looped ? still trying to understand this part.

    thxs

  • @servteqh you could also use a old car radiator works just fine !!!

  • I don't think your camera likes to see the gas come out of the tube. kssssh kssssh

  • Very Cool. Can the cooling and filtering be accomplished by diffuser pipes into a biogas digester instead? This might provide the neede heat for anerobic digestion and the resulting gas could end up as a "fortified" gas (less nitrogen, added combustibles, use for excess heat)for use in an NG engine/gen set.

  • It sounds like a good idea. i will try that.

  • Nice Fema build, well built cooler too.

  • Thank you for the kind words.

    What is a Fema ????

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) designed a producer like your model. They tend to burn too cool and produce tar. I thought you did a good version. My FEMA unit was a bit simpler, but I learned lots. Look for FEMA woodgas and you will find lots of info.

  • how many watts consume the blower?

  • My gasifier is not build like the FEMA.

And the gas is allmost free from tare after 15-20 min.

  • How does it work? It does not make a lick of sence to me. Its the collest project I have seen in a LOOOOONG time. Great job!

  • Nice work on the Gasifier!

  • Thank you very much.

I´m really looking forward to drive the "Thing"
