To all the people talking about how much this cover sucks, you do know that if an old band's songs never get covered, there will be a day when they are forgotten? Why do people still sing "Ring Around the Rosie" if it was written hundreds of years ago, because other people sang it and if no one sings The Who's songs, they will be forgotten. It may takes decades or even centuries but they will be forgotten if not covered. So show some respect even if you don't like it.

Honestly there is no old greenday or new greenday there is only greenday. Greenday was good when they were younger and they're still good now. People refer to old greenday as punks that like to write songs about being bored and hating the world that are awesome well guess what they grew up and got families so now they can't right about that stuff anymore so like i said there is only greenday not old or new they just changed. Great cover by the way. Hate me if you want but it's the truth.

No matter what Green Day do, people are just going to keep finding a reason to hate them. This was recorded and released on Kerplunk, which tends to be the main problem with people these days, that their new stuff is "crap" compared to their older stuff (pre-Dookie). They just can't win no matter what they do. Personally I think they did a great job with this, as when an artist covers a song, the main point is to do it so you can recognise the original, but put their own style on it as well.
