They were certainly American Masters of music! I used to work at a small Radio Station in Southern Indiana where I had to play Gospel on Sunday. Everytime I played Jim & Jessie it made my job easier and more fun.

My dad's band Jerusalem Ridge did a cover of this song. They won a County Music Award in 1991 for best Performing Bluegrass band. This song brings back good memories.

I also heard it on that mid 80's Austin city Limits, and it took me years to finally find the recording. Actually, they gave me cassette of it, because I bugged them for years to do play it for me, but they explained that they hadn't played it for sometime. They finally played it at Blue Ridge Electric customer appreciation day in Pickens,SC. All of the door prizes had been given away and only a few folks were left, and Jesse turned to Jim and said to finally do it for me.

I heard Jim and Jesse do this song on some tv program in 1987.. and have been looking for the recording every since.

Aparently, it's no longer available. The brothers no longer have copies, and the master recordings are not even to be found - it's just gone.
