  • THey are Lutheran's...Only Anglican's have pews that face each other... catholics do too, but only in the sanctuary.

  • So I notice during this wedding that all the pews face forward. But I've seen other photos where the pews face one another.

  • Awww I can tell that he loves her very much he is so nervous and everything>>> Cute best wishes to their kids

  • Does anyone know who wrote the "Amen" chorus sung at 0:34? I've been looking for the music for this piece for a long time!

  • @emmanuelchan me too

  • @emmanuelchan me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @emmanuelchan It's the 'amen'-part of the movement Credo in Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli.

  • @emmanuelchan

It's from Missa Papae Marcelli - hope you'll find that helpful

  • @michaellykke1 thank you..it really help!

  • I love the fact that he's smiling all the way through!! :D

  • That hymn was "Now thank we all our God" followed by the Vidor recessional. The couple was quite charming, particularly the Crown Prince who was so spontaneous and smiling.

  • I want to find love like this one day.

  • Ich finde die beiden soooooooo süß!!!

  • Beautiful service. I loved the interaction between the couple--tender, without being over the top.

  • this marriage was the most beautiful royal wedding in ages brits dont know how to do a fairytale like danes n germans

  • @fella006 Don't talk nonsense

  • @fella006 While I will admit this looked like a beautiful wedding I think us Brits royal weddings are just as good.

I find it a little strange they are sitting for the hymns, is this normal in Denmark?

They certainly look like a lovely couple.

  • @AmberPanda

Yes we remain seated for the hymns in Denmark. We only stand when the Gospel is read.

  • @michaellykke1

Thank you for answering my question, I just wish I could understand what was being said, I can't understand Danish.

  • Hvad hedder den sang de synger?? The danish title???

  • what is the organ recessional? Please? so lovely

  • Tocatta from 5th Organ Symphony, by Charles Widor, There are any number of clips of it on YouTube.

  • why he doesn't kiss a new wife ?

  • @dawidjoseph05

It isn't hollywood for one reason and secondly they are from the Luterin fate, usually in Catholic sect of Christianity the husband and wife kiss infront of God and the church.

  • @IcominguprosesI so I have to understand, that in Lutheran fait it is not agree with tradition when husband kiss a new wife ? how to say famous proverb "every country has its own customs"

anyways to kiss new wife by her husban is not invention of Hollywod nor is not only the ailment of Catholic "sect" but occur/ed too in the Orthodox Church, in Jew's religion, in religion of ancient Rome and Greece

  • @dawidjoseph05

No, you don't have to understand.

I'm just saying that in hollywood almost every film where a wedding takes place, regardless of religious affiliation, a kiss happens after the couple make their vows, this is not common among most religions, obviously a kiss eventually does happen but when that is- is inconsistent with peoples expectations. ....i.e., your trouble with understanding why he doesn't kiss his wife after the vows.

  • @dawidjoseph05 He did kiss her as they proceeded to the end of the inner part of the church. The church seems small. Is it a royal chapel, for I would imagine the cathedral of Kobenhavn to be larger.

  • @FRAGIORGIO1 ok

  • @MsTheMiss he has a rank in the navy, and spent many years in the danish navy.

  • @his299 ok. and Joacim as well?

  • I love the gumleaves in her flowers... hehe

The look on faces throughout this entire thing showed so much... the Queen's face as she looked at her son, the bride and groom... hooray for the Danish, I hope they teach my own (English) royal family a trick or two for the upcoming wedding... if you have emotion and love, it is okay to show it!

  • @Neithie I noticed that CP Frederick was caught up with emotions prior to CP Mary's walk down the aisle. Once Frederick saw Mary his eyes lite up and a smile crossed his face. This wedding looked to be a very beautiful ceremony.

  • @Neithie I thought the Royal wedding on April 29th was ful of emotion and was lovely. the Duke and duches sof Cambridge are wonderful. Now can the yellow press just leve them alone??

  • and what do his medals mean?

  • why the prince had those clothes, does his suit symbolize anything?

  • @MsTheMiss IT is the Gala suit of the Navy in Denmark

  • I think her gown looks better on video as compare to photo. But I think It's must weigh quite a lot to wear with the long train. And the origami part is actually not completely saw onto the dress itself. Only the top and bottom part of it are attached to the dress

  • beautiful church

  • the hymn is "Now Thank We All Our God --- Nun Danket Wir Alle Gott"

  • What is the name of the recessional hymn?

  • @cronoskronos

    Widor - Toccata :)

  • @jonmartinsc One of the best pieces ever!!!

  • Interesting to see how the dress moves.
