That hymn was "Now thank we all our God" followed by the Vidor recessional. The couple was quite charming, particularly the Crown Prince who was so spontaneous and smiling.
It isn't hollywood for one reason and secondly they are from the Luterin fate, usually in Catholic sect of Christianity the husband and wife kiss infront of God and the church.
@IcominguprosesI so I have to understand, that in Lutheran fait it is not agree with tradition when husband kiss a new wife ? how to say famous proverb "every country has its own customs"
anyways to kiss new wife by her husban is not invention of Hollywod nor is not only the ailment of Catholic "sect" but occur/ed too in the Orthodox Church, in Jew's religion, in religion of ancient Rome and Greece
I'm just saying that in hollywood almost every film where a wedding takes place, regardless of religious affiliation, a kiss happens after the couple make their vows, this is not common among most religions, obviously a kiss eventually does happen but when that is- is inconsistent with peoples expectations. ....i.e., your trouble with understanding why he doesn't kiss his wife after the vows.
@dawidjoseph05 He did kiss her as they proceeded to the end of the inner part of the church. The church seems small. Is it a royal chapel, for I would imagine the cathedral of Kobenhavn to be larger.
The look on faces throughout this entire thing showed so much... the Queen's face as she looked at her son, the bride and groom... hooray for the Danish, I hope they teach my own (English) royal family a trick or two for the upcoming wedding... if you have emotion and love, it is okay to show it!
@Neithie I noticed that CP Frederick was caught up with emotions prior to CP Mary's walk down the aisle. Once Frederick saw Mary his eyes lite up and a smile crossed his face. This wedding looked to be a very beautiful ceremony.
@Neithie I thought the Royal wedding on April 29th was ful of emotion and was lovely. the Duke and duches sof Cambridge are wonderful. Now can the yellow press just leve them alone??
I think her gown looks better on video as compare to photo. But I think It's must weigh quite a lot to wear with the long train. And the origami part is actually not completely saw onto the dress itself. Only the top and bottom part of it are attached to the dress
THey are Lutheran's...Only Anglican's have pews that face each other... catholics do too, but only in the sanctuary.

So I notice during this wedding that all the pews face forward. But I've seen other photos where the pews face one another.

@fella006 While I will admit this looked like a beautiful wedding I think us Brits royal weddings are just as good.
I find it a little strange they are sitting for the hymns, is this normal in Denmark?
They certainly look like a lovely couple.

@AmberPanda
Yes we remain seated for the hymns in Denmark. We only stand when the Gospel is read.
