Thanks for all the nice comments guys! Since posting this, I have a renewed interest in playing it. I will record a new video using my Les Paul. Very soon!
Damn... right sound and everything. I tried to do the same back then when I was learning, never got it that good. Just great... wish you posted the entire song
Do you have a decent sound card, because when I line in straight from my guitar and use Guitar Rig it has a huge humming noise while plugged in... what do you use for the lag?
It's a nice guitar. I like to compare it to a Japanese sports bike, fast and precise, where as the Fender is more like a harley, big, burly, and full of soul.
You'd be surprised, actually. Obviously American Fenders and the Gibsons are going to be good, but there are a lot of great guitar companies out there over seas.
I have played more than my fair share of outstanding chinese-made guitars (mostly acoustic). The Japanese Reissue strats are great, also.
biggest problem can be the wood. what brands are the good ones, would be interesting to hear some no name guitars, in some cases they might be pretty damned good.
This is really amazing, you are so unbelievably clean. You're getting me into playing with a pick and I've been doing the finger style for like 6 months now lol.
Hey man, GREAT playing. I've been playing for 25+ years and I salute you for your touch. Nice job. You should reshoot this and post the whole song. I want to see the second solo.
How anyone could rate this less than 5 stars I'll never know - other than it ended far too soon! One of my fav cream tracks - first class tone & great playing with real Clapton vibe & nuance. Love it! Rich
Holy shit, I'm working on this tune right now and you freaking nailed it, the tone is scary close to perfect. I am using line6 shit, hopefully soon I can figure it out. Nice man, I have checked out several of your vid's, keep jammin Peace
It's actually an organ, and it sounds off in the video for some reason. :) YouTube's video conversion murders the audio tracks, and converts it to mono. This sounds much better in stereo. :)
"Guitar is an Ibanez RG 550, plugged directly into my PC and processed using Guitar Rig 2. The amp model I'm using is a Marshall Plexi with a Treble Booster pedal."
The treble booster is the software model of an older unit which I don't know off hand. Check out Guitar Rig 2 specs for more details. It's supposed to immitate the one that many players used in the '60s, including Eric Clapton. Hope that helps!
Omg you are awesome
