  • If that was a real person in the accent they could of got glass all in there eyes!

  • all the ppl who would like say Kia and Hyundai are bad cars the was right in 15 years ago , now different story .

  • And it doesn't have power steering lol....

  • I'm glad to see this, because a few days ago we where driving trough Poland and they really drive like idiots over there. But the Europe road trip was definitly worth it in our Kia Rio. You should check out our vids

  • Jap dogs are barking forever on the mishaps 20 years ago..Ha ha ha ha..Hyundai/ Kia technology & industrial magnitude far surpass all the major car companies in the World combined together, Now even Porsche is falling behind on the Lx Korean cars now even at 2 times prices,, All ye ,Name brand Pimps & Whores out there, Wake up

  • the 2005-2011 Hyundai Accent/ Hyundai Accent Era/ Hyundai Brio/

    Hyundai Avega/ Hyundai Verna/ Beijing-Hyundai Accent/ Dodge Attitude was/is assembled in

    İzmit, Turkey

    Ulsan, South Korea

    Beijing, China

    Chennai, India

    Makati City, Philippines

  • i will avoid side impacts!! LOL

  • O_O

  • ha i think the accents breaks suck , my aunt got in to 4 accidents each in hyaundai accent- actually make that 3 , 1 purple hatchback 97 model , 1 light purple 97 hatch back model was rental for the 2004 one she had to get fixed, then she had a accident in that one ,

so ya have fun driving your piece of shit hyaundais hahaha

  • Thankfully the steering wheel stopped the dummy's head :l

  • the dumies skin ripped!!!!

  • @4814EMan Where does it rip?

  • An idiot of my school is driving this car.

    The older version.

    Hehehehehe

  • i crrashed dd oonnnncee in onnne off thiss caaar caar caar caar anddd nathingg baadd happeeeenddd dd ddd tttoo mee............... 234r1........ veeeery secuurree ree ee eee...

  • I just don't wanna be known as Die in a Hyundai.

  • I wonder how fast these cars are set to go.

  • @tnguyen318 45 mph.

  • Why not 65 mph?

  • I just don't see how this got a poor rating it came with side airbags including torso airbags which many small cars don't have

  • @JVB96203 Watch the dummies head ricochet off the door... ouch! Side airbags that don't work.

  • @boardskins Did you see the perfect head imprint on the airbag? It just looks like it ricochetted off the door after but it didn't.

  • Dude my mom got into a car crash with this car and this car got demolished

  • i don't give a crap. i love my accent.

  • It really is a piece of shit. I had two of the same exact accents accept one had a spoiler they were black. One of them some idiot in front of me on the way to school thought he was a stunt driver and did a burnout strait into the front of my car. Airbag worked nicely.. The next car I got hit by a Dodge Ram who was going 50 while i was at a full stop at construction.. It turned into a four car pileup and my little accent was right inbetween two trucks taking all that impact. Im lucky 2 be alive

  • wow was concidering geting one of theis because it was cheaper than the kia soul any one have any recomondations?

  • OMG .. that's my car O_o

  • FAIL!

  • How are the accent and kio related, i just don;t see it?

  • @tylermcdonaldd They are structurally the same (under the skin). Much like the Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage, they are "kissing cousins" where they look different on the outside but are essentially the same structurally and mechanically. I had a first gen 95 Accent hatchback (loved it). I now have a Tucson, which is a fantastic little SUV. I do wish the latest Accent would do better on safety tests. I'm sure my 95 would have done much worse than this one, though.

  • All kinds of fucked up losers barking snarling at awesome car company Hyundai now..Update your head, the pace of every Korean tech' is literally breath taking,, Your head is swimming in the 5~10, to 10~20 years ago image ?Many experts say Hyundai is now ahead of everyone else.. Knock, Knock hazy heads, you just show your level like so many common dullards, under-informed in every approach.. & happen to be lagging loser? all the time, tsk, tsk

  • @elam7batura you are so very right in every way!

  • FUCKING LIARS,

I JUST GOT IN A FUCKED UP CRASH AND THIS SHIT SAVED ME

    TAKE THAT PICK UP TRUCKS

  • ooo...owey. I understand the whole drive safe thing and what other people are doing...but that's why it's called an accident. That just looked painful in that accident. And I wouldn't let my mom bring my brothers to soccer practice in his car, or let her drive to the grocery store. Then again, my dad wouldn't either but still lol

  • When there are better cars out there maybe alittle more expensive but can safe your life and be a better car for you, why do you go and by a Hyundai.

Its like here we have Rosie o'Donnell shes 5$ for the night but over here we have Megan Fox (or everyone who looks good in your opinion) and she only costs 7$,,, Which one would you pick? :D :D :D

  • @90Daaaannnneeee yeah but the comparison is not 2 dollars, its probably a couple thousand. unless youre willing to dish it out for everyone

  • @IlAshtOnIl so you wouldnt pay thousands of dollars for your life? I mean you have decided to buy a car so you have saved some dollas to buy it. Now for those money that you have saved you can buy one not so good car and for just a couple of thousands you can buy a car which is 100% better. It can be better in safety, you will have better comfort and you will have a better car.

  • worst aibag ever

  • hyundai should have called this the hyundai accident ROFL=))

  • man that dummies head was about to come off!!! 1:13

  • i have kia rio

  • @MrMichael520

    then drive safely

  • What a piece of shit thats whay i drive a suburban.

  • it's good for a cheap car not all people have money to buy a safe cars better than chevrolet aveo :)

  • HO-HO-HO-HOLY SHIT.

  • I was going to buy one, but after this... no thanks man.

  • what an appalling heap of shit

  • No wonder James May calls it the "Hyundai Accident"

  • Worked for Hyundai as a mechanic for a while, not the nicest cars to work with by any means

  • @rctsos they are just re-issed hyundias... seriously, their a same company and all !

  • Go to MYRIDE. COM for more car videos....

you guys have 1053 videos on youtube, thats enough for me

  • @rctsos You shouldn't make fun of killed in action, because many people were killed in action. Shit = Excretion or poo (Simple english).

  • I love my 74 ford. LOL people say they're are dangerous because if you get hit there is no crumple zones so all the impact is on you. But with car like this driving around when you hit them with my truck the cars just give in and fold and bend so my truck and easily ram right through it and my truck weighs as much as 3 kias put together so with all that weight you bust right through this cheap new cars with little to no harm done to the truck I feel so superior

  • @14omega28ok if you run my ass down you will discover an uncharted world of hurt.

  • Surprising these are not more safe, they really should be. Most of those who drive them are women.

  • i wouldnt buy a small car unless its a vw golf..

none of korean jap italian are as good as vw golf

    fact.

  • @brian8614 also cost like twice as much. fact.

  • at 1:13 auch!

  • 12 people drive a hyundai accent

  • @VladBlok28 - Bad joke man... I drive an Accent but I didn't tumb down the video. If I can't affrod a Volvo or a Mercedes, why should I be sad and tumb down the video ? It's a good car,a great car may I say,for the price, and for a kinda' new driver like me.

  • @ungureanudoru It was just a joke (you said it yourself)

  • @VladBlok28 i drive one, so what nab? you 10-yearold kid...

  • @zllatan8 you get offended by youtube comments that aren't even offensive. get a life loser

  • @joey72636

only few of them ... those that cost 12k new ... the more expansive once have better crash rating then competition

  • stop being little rats with your comments. Just go buy a car you like and shut up!

  • All the Koreans know that how many japanese people are trying to insult about korea every day and every day on Youtube.

Because Japanese their product market share are losing recent days every day

    Even at electronic products.

    This is very sneaky.

  • @nachtnite absolutely. but I'm not in any way shocked. but most Japanese people are too busy trying to make a living... not like some of these scum bags trolling on the internet.

  • @pyroprince78

But I saw a lot hundred tons of...

  • most of small cars are not safe

  • ホント中国者and韓国は危険すぎる日本人が乗る車じゃない

  • I'm sorry, I don't care how nicely these cars are dressed up, Korean cars are STILL garbage, plain and simple. All you have to do to see how low quality they are is sit in one. It feels completely hollow like a scooped out watermelon. In Korean neighborhoods where I live NO Koreans drive Korean cars. They all drive Hondas and Toyotas. When Koreans themselves say no thank you to one of their own products, you can take that to the bank!

  • @thunderstruck665

Except for, you know, the president of SK using armored Hyundai Genesis's.

  • @Xboxlivemgear: Well, of course the President of South Korea is going to use vehicles produced in his homeland. Would you ever see an American President driving or riding around in a Toyota??? Of course not!

  • @thunderstruck665 it's true that koreans used to prefer japanese cars over korean cars but that was a while back. korean cars have gotten pretty competitive in the market and they've really upped their scale. now that toyotas got their recalls, no one wants one. honda recently had recalls too, though not as bad as toyota, but in any case, the japanese auto market isn't considered competitive anymore. and american cars are a joke, honestly.

  • @dhyosungk: Hondas are as popular as they've ever been, Toyota will easily recover from the recall and as far as American cars go, they've made leaps and bounds in the quality department, especially Ford who is making great vehicles and reaping the benefits of Toyota's current problems more than anybody right now. For the record, Koreans STILL prefer Japanese cars. There's no long time ago about it. Come to Palisades Park, NJ and count how many Koreans drive Korean cars. You won't find many.

  • @thunderstruck665 actually where i live a lot of koreans tend to have korean cars. and i live in one of those communities with a looot of koreans. i guess it depends on where you live, but i dont see how toyota will EASILY recover from the recalls, because that was preeetty bad. and honda doesn't have much of an exciting line up, though im liking them a lot more than toyota right now.

  • @thunderstruck665 are you korean?

  • Now I have nothing against the Hyundai Accent name, just that this car needs a redesign. Back in the mid to late 1990s it was a competent small car with good features at a low price, and it was okay on safety by the standards of the time With Hyundai's latest round of winners (the Sonata's a TOP SAFETY PICK with an excellent Consumer Reports rating) I think the next Accent redesign will bring it back up to being the good, safe car it once was - and more.

  • This sh-- car doesn't need to be sold. A lot of cars manage GOOD for front, rear, and side protection, and almost all cars can at least get GOOD in front protection. The 2010 Accent gets Acceptable for front (below average by 2010 standards; Good is almost a given), Poor for side (Acceptable is the MINIMUM to be considered "up-to-date"), and Acceptable for rear (okay I guess, but rear crashes cause few deaths). If a small car interests you from Hyundai, I'd go with the all-Good rated Elantra.

  • @whattheheck1000: Fifteen years from now, 2007-10 Toyota Corollas and Honda Civics will still be a dime a dozen on the road and these cars will be ancient history. That's why if I had $14,000 to spend on a car and my choices were between a brand new Kia or Hyundai and a 2006 Honda Civic with 30,000 miles on it, I would take the Civic without even batting an eyelash.

  • @thunderstruck665 Me too, but I'd take a similar vintage Toyota Corolla.

  • I'd rather buy a used german car than a new hyunday. Just look at their crashtests 10 yrs ago!

  • Much more like Hyundai Accident

    -James May

  • @INUMIMI28 Leave it to Top Gear to make a great comment like that!.. ... I'm a car enthusiast and the Accent leaves me less than enthused

  • This car's airbag is old tech.

  • I don't know if I want to watch this lol. I want to buy a Hyundai. Ignorance is bliss until I lose my arm!

  • Hyundai is getting much safer , and is reaching japanese quality.

    I admit that.

But the name "hyundai" easily let people confuse with Honda

and the logomarks are also confusable! 本田≠現代

  • Piece of shit hyundais.

  • how the hell didnt that front tire pop

  • @SRTR6 it looked like it went flat

  • What's your IQ, Jap monkey ?

Just pay homage to Korean product , dirty Jokbari

  • my 09 has 7 air bags. and some metal thing on the doors to distribute impact.

  • hundie

  • why my hyundai accent haven't any sides air bags?! WHY?!!!

  • @khaled6100 Because you did not paid for them :)

  • I know it did poorly, but i think people stereotype these kinds of cars. If people didn't drive barges with wheels, I would consider this safer. You don't need a tank to take your kid to soccer practice, or get groceries, or anything else really.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 yeah, they se hyundia and think death trap and that is a stereotype for nowadays.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 actually those tanks do better with their weight then these cars do with the weight they have so shhh :l

  • @GrahamCrackers94 well you need something with a better crash test result than this. how about a TOP SAFETY PICK small car. it's a size up but still gets 30 or more MPG.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 theyre junk, i like toyota better, but id drive a tank if i could.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 And additionally, those tanks are not quite as safe because they are usually damn easy to flip due to their high center of gravity.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 but who in the hell wants to have a "kia" or "hyundai" in there driveway? I sure as hell wouldnt.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 I agree!

  • @GrahamCrackers94 Who are you to make that decision?

  • @trmptplyr100

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, right?

  • @GrahamCrackers94 Never said they weren't did I?

  • @GrahamCrackers94 - True. Just drive safe, watch out for other cars in trafic and you'll be just fine.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 One thing you also have to consider that some of these cars can barely hold up in slow speed crashes with each other. If it can't hold up to a barge, good luck surviving if you hit a wall or truck.

  • Piece of shit cars

  • @titin200 stereotype alert!

  • @Capthunter95 what for stating the truth?, those things a death traps in an accident.

  • im sorry but any tiny car like that your just screwed. anything smaller than a midsize car. its gonna hurt.

  • im pretty sure the newer models have updated safety. 2007 was awhile back, incase you forgot.

  • @dhyosungk no wonder why they call it Hyundai accIdent.

  • @Amero1 who's they? and it's called accent.

  • @dhyosungk I hope you´re right.

  • @dhyosungk 2007 was recent. 1997 was awhile back. Hyundai's are safe, just not this model.

  • @dhyosungk Fuck you korean shit

  • @IKnowWereYouSleep LOL whoa, ignorant. grow up man ;) it may make life easier for you, because obviously you don't seem satisfied. LOLOL

  • why! i really like the hatchback. total bummmmmer.

  • HUNDAI "ACCIDENT"

  • @iwgogo i couln't agree more

  • @iwgogo good i love jeremy clarkson ahah

  • @aaronchungrulez 「YeeeeeeeeeeSS!」 I like too.

  • hyundai even with side curtain air bag fails while a lot of other car markets passed that test with side curtains

  • Hyundai sux... Canadian market accent/elentra doesn't even get side/curtain bags as a standard equipment. This car is definitely a death trap...

  • that's a nasty whiplash i own a 2002 accent and well its a peice of junk my next car will be defenetly a subaru impreza

  • @Trainfoamer101 You're crazy! are excellent cars.

  • @hjph1 i haver a 2002 and its shit the transmission is shot the bearing are bad and it has a gutless engine and the crash rating on them are also shit just like the new one

  • his head hit the damn door frame!

  • i think they made it unsafe on purpose thats why they call it the accident

  • hasiktir amk şuna bak ne berbat araba adamlar içine hava yastığı koymuşlar ama bi boka yarasa araç paramparça içinden sağ çıkamazsın ama toyota 1 numara güvenlikte

  • hyundai alayınıza düz gider aslanım valla ben görüorumki toyota bile köpek gibi arabalarını geri çağarırken hyundai bir kere bile hatalı üretim yapmadı vw yide geçer fordu zaten geçti ki ford hyundainin eski patronu .

  • I hate Hyundai i really do but those test were better then the Chevy Aveo.

  • i worship this car !!!:D

  • you are dead!

  • i always have to read "accident" instead of "accent"

    pretty weird, expecially here :)

  • Or... what BMW wants from Toyota? Structure of iQ for the new possible Mini Cooper... or what about... the Valvematic... BMW was the first with that system? NOOOOO... Actually was Lexus with VVT-iE... and of course, the Lexus's is more efficience.

  • BMW has won numerous engine awards what about Lex? Again I ask you post your facts?

BMW makes very efficient engines, even in their mini. problem is, they seem to do too much and overcomplicate things which makes them unreliable at times

Also BMW has been named seventeen times representing six engines Where is a Lexus V12 engine? What do they have to show in the form of diesel technology and development? Clearly, the engines Lexus produces are inferior to these two less prestigious brands.

  • Comment removed

  • Lexus (Toyota) is since a looong time ago, together with Audi (VW) the automaker with the biggest number of patents per year... and that means, the most of times 'innovation'. The example of 'copy', what happened with Porsche and the Hybrid system from Lexus (when Porsche started thinking of Hybrid cars). You are probably one of those people who think the first 4x4 in cars was VW (actually is SUBARU)... haha

  • I believe 4 wheel drive came from VW? There you go assuming things again@!

  • @Jamzkangster I wrote 'You are probably one of those people who think the first 4x4 in cars was VW (actually is SUBARU)...', which doesn't mean you are like this. Anyway... Obviously I'm informed and please, don't get me wrong (AGAIN), I don't mind what happen with Hyundao... Do you like the LF-Ch? You think it's a copy of BMW?

  • 4x4 was developed by Audi in the 70's (The original quattro which rallied on snow tracks)

  • @Xp3rTGam3r Uhmm... Developed by Audi? What are you talking about? Even Subaru has 4x4 before Audi. Anyway, have a nice day :)

  • @Jamzkangster Before writing again... we were talking about Hyundai and now we are talking about Mercedes, BMW and those things, hahaha.

  • well there is one thing we can agree, and that is to disagree to an extent.

We'll see what the future holds, but fact is, Hyundai is making great strides as a automobile company. That is not to say they are going to beat Toyota anytime soon, but they are certainly beginning to close the wide gaps which were ever so obvious in the beginning.

As far as the issue of car companies copying goes, it happens all the time, that is something you cannot deny.

  • @Jamzkangster I think they will be almost alone in a future... especially after seen how VW is losing market share in China... LOVE FOR HYUNDAI AND TOYOTA... haha

  • hehe!

  • Hehe... we should make a summary... this is crazy... Hehe...

  • more money invested every year since a long time ago*

Like this better? Sorry, really... sorry for my English.

And the example of what I said is the Genesis 4.8, not good comsuption, performance, acceptable but not that good and the engine, nothing especial... nothing compared with VVT-iE or Valvematic. Anyway, better to leave saying this... we don't work for any automaker (maybe you), so... we are wasting time... hehe. Hug

  • You do understand Genesis is Hyundai's first attempt at making a full scale luxury car right? Of course the transmission isn't comparable to the Lexus or BMW

But being it;'s first luxury car, it has already received numerous awards from Motortrend, Edmunds, JDPOWER, to Canadian CAR and I believe even the North American CAR of the year award, this is with their first ever luxury car (besides the Alzerra). that is really impressive.

  • @Jamzkangster Well... I know Genesis is Hyundai and Hyundai wants to make that brand as Lexus for Toyota. I even know the Equus.

Those awards have been given to Hyundai because of the relation 'quality-price', not because of Innovation; in fact, Hyundai has not invented anything yet, except a 'small engine 0.8 Turbo' or something like that, which is not 'impressive at all' (especially because it's big and there are several engines like this, as Smart ForTwo (600 or 700cc Turbo, etc.)...

  • I'm not concerned about the innovation the Genesis hasn't brought forward, nor did I ever claim Hyundai won those awards based on their "innovation." You must remember, Lexus didn't win any innovating awards or awards in general, when Toyota first debut them in the U.S.A. In fact Lexus brand wasn't even taken seriously until their quality and reliability started started going up and it took them long time to get to the position they are in now.

  • @Jamzkangster Actually Lexus won several awards... and in fact, a lot of them from JD Power as well, (example, one of the last one was about the quality of the mterals used by Lexus, even better than Porsche...) please... don't throw rubbish like this. And please, try to get 'right' information to talk about 'awards...' I really thought I could talk with you about this, but you are not objective at all,.

  • READ CAREFULLY buddy, I said when Toyota first introduced the Lexus it didn't win any awards. Please if you're going to argue, you need to read the comment first, and not just read it, read it carefully.

  • @Jamzkangster God, you are... You sure I'm who has to read? Read about what happened with Lexus in 1989 when Toyota started with in US... and tell me if even the market wasn't surprised of level of quality, etc. And what about 'transmissions'... you talk too much but you are not so sure about what are you talking about, right?

  • What awards did Toyota win in 1989 for the Lexus? Post it, that is all I ask.

  • @Jamzkangster Uhm... I said 'quality control', and... you sure Lexus copied something from Mercedes... god... this is terrible... Hehe... The only one "copy" could be part of the design of Toyota Celsior // Lexus LS 94 (I think it was this year)... Even Lexus was launched with V8 engines just because US Market like those engines, not because they wanted to copy. Man, you should be informed

  • Look closer, and you'll find a number of other technologies on Lexus cars is a copy of what you see on the competition first, and often is brought decades after it was originally created. This is what they have done with Benz. The only awards associated with Lexus are long-term quality related. Never mind engineering, driveability, performance, drive trains, interior awards, and international recognition.

  • @Jamzkangster Well... you want to keep this... haha... Again... First of all, try to check what is trying to do Lexus. You know the 'night object detection', for example. That system was launched by Mercedes at first but actually was developed by Toyota (which get the awards, not Lexus). Mercedes just prefered to launch the system before Lexus but the Lexus system is better AT ALL. And really, this is not the only one example. It's like 'creating a product before the competence but worse...

  • @Jamzkangster Sorry... maybe I didn't read the comment very well, but the fact is... Lexus with the first car won various awards (read about Lexus LS400, 89). Please, we should stop talking about this... really. And again, I wish the best for both automakers, but there is nothing to compare...

  • All I'm saying is Hyundai has made vast improvements in their engines, transmissions, quality, and reliability compared to back in the days when Krn cars would literally break down tryin to go up a hill.

hyundai is making huge strides as a car company, and their committment to do so, i has paid off. Genesis is a big step forward for them in terms of establishing themselves in the luxury market.

  • @Jamzkangster Even I don't think any other automaker has received awards for quality as Lexus right now,o be honest... and about Technology, you sure about what are you talking about? Please, you can even check it on the Lexus's website...

  • @Jamzkangster And did you read what I said before? Actually Hyundai has not innovated anything in its history... just the opposite of Toyota; this is simple and reasonable, if Hyundai inverts money for innovation, the cost of the cars, is higher... which could be totally negative for Hyundai; especially with its policy (cheap and not bad cars)

  • AGAIN, I never claimed Hyundai was KNOWN FOR INNOVATING, I CLEARLY said they're quality/reliability are improving and I agree they are following in the Japanese automakers footsteps which is a good thing from them.

That is all, don't put words into my mouth.

  • @Jamzkangster But the problem is... there is not comparision and even in the future... while Hyundai is improving (quality and reliability), Toyota is not waiting for that... You know what I mean?

  • People said the same thing about Lexus and Toyota back in the early 1980's.

They said Lexus would never compete with Mercedes Benz, and by the time they caught up to them, Benz would be on another level.

Oh, how well did that turn out :D. Lexus is currently beating their German counterparts in reliability and quality, and in some cases, I'd say Lexus is the better vehicle for the price compared to Mercedes Benz.

  • @Jamzkangster Have you seen how many post we wrote... haha... Well... Love for Hyundai, love for Toyota... hahaha

  • Would you like me to list the technology Lexus has copied from Benz?

I have a whole laundry list, just tell me. I think it's you who is greatly misinformed.

  • @Jamzkangster ... just because I want to be the first... Before saying 'copy', try to check the developing... You have too much 'wikipedia' on your head... take care, sometimes that information is wrong... hehe. Try to read 'PATENTS' and after that, tell me :)

  • you need to start posting these "facts," but it seems you like to talk as if it's true.
