U lucky son of a bitch! I can't even find those! With The Beatles is impossible for me to find, and you get it like that! Damn you are lucky. And I love that album :(
Killer Score Matt !! I'm waiting for Hollywood Bowl & Beatles Story on Capitol to be released on CD. White on White !!!!!! Let me know if you find those anywhere :)
matt I wish I had a friend like that as a lifeling fan of the beatles I pretty impressed strickly on the basis of of what you showed here. keep collectiing
"Songs & Pictures of The Fabulous Beatles" is actually counterfeit. I have a copy of the same album. I was reading an article and came to discover that the real version is titled, "Songs, Pictures, & Stories of The Fabulous Beatles". It is still a great album!
Damn! I got so jealous watching this vid that I got sick to my stomach!! You lucky S.O.B.! I hate you so much!! :D Seriously, you're extremely lucky because usually people who work at goodwill check the donations and keep the good stuff for themselves, so your friend was very lucky to find them! Some are worth in the 3 digits (especially the white album on Apple). The whole stack must be worth well over $500! Congrats! If you have time, check out my Beatles colored record video. :)
Thanks! I will surprized that the records made it out to the sales floor, too. My friend who shops regularly at the different thrift shops in town tells me that the employees are supposed to put the merchandise out on the floor before they can claim anything. He just got there at the right time, apparently.
the only thing i can guess of how they ended it proboly ended up in good will is becouse an old couple lived together for many years.the husband died and the wive got rid of all his stuff so she would not moan at it every time she looked at it...but thats my guess
Those things are in mint condition! I got to wonder what the untold story is here. Why on earth did someone part with this? What chain of events occured here? Did someone die and some dolt had no idea of what a tresure they gave away? LOL! What a mystery!
It sure is. My pal and I figured that the original owner might've been in the service, since the albums come from all around the world. I wondered about who would just give away the records to Goodwill, too. Thanks, Darl!
Thanks for sharing those cool "The Beatles" albums with us Matt. I have a lot of their music on my iPod and listened to a few tracks on my way to work just the other day. Yeah, sleeve art is something you don't get anymore with CDs which is kinda sad.
Awesome! I love the Hollywood Bowl album! My mom borrowed a lot of records from someone years ago and taped them all for me. I don't have many on CD, but got a lot at the flea market. I miss those old record stores, too. Ones that had stuff you had never seen other places before. I used to get to go get a record every time I went to the dentist, hehe! I used to buy albums based on the photos they had and sit them up around my room, lol!
That's an awesome haul, and a damn nice present! All this takes me back to when I was younger and still collecting the early albums by Heart, Queen and ABBA. I LIVED for the sleeve art!
wow that was great!! what a find... what a friend! ;) gotta love those imports especially with the wicked artwork, and those picture discs are super cool as well! thanks for sharing matt! :)
He sure is! I plan on playing the albums to make sure they all play properly, but I already have CDs of all the Beatles released music expect the Hollywood Bowl LP. I like keeping the albums for the cover art and extra stuff like posters, though. Thanks, Bay!
Damn!!! That is a TOTAL score!!! I can't believe how good of shape all that stuff is. The White Album? With all those original posters in there? AMAZING!! I never knew that one was white vinyl. WOW! I'm SOOO Jealous!! I will up the ante and give you $11 for them all ! LOL Really cool vid Matt. The Beatles are EVERYWHERE!
That's quite a find, Matt! And I'm certain that some of them were never released in the U.S. You definitely have some collectibles on your hands.
I have all of their original albums, bought new, when they were released. Of course, some of them have been played to death over the past 40+ years, but I've always been a fanatic about record care, so they still play pretty well for old vinyl.
I never got much into "Best of" albums, since I already had everything that was on them.
I don't normally bother with the "Best of" collections, either, but since they were a part of the collection I gladly accepted them. I own all the officially released albums on CD, but it is cool to get the picture discs, album art and photos, and the like. I was telling my friend it would've been especially cool if he had happened across the infamous "Butcher cover."
Sweet collection. Whomever had those before they went to the Goodwill took really good care of them. I have a few select records around here, somewhere.
woo woo woo good omg that is some good find i tell ya what you never know what you might find i got my atari from goodwill woopie your awsome and your friend must be super awsome
Oh, wow...The Beatles are one of my most favorite bands of all time. I consider you to be quite lucky to have these outstanding records. :) Enjoy! :D Oh, what's your favorite song by them? Mine is "Blackbird." It's so peaceful and tranquil and very inspiring to its listener...
