Who ever threw Eggs at Mr. Balmer lacks the maturity to own any type of computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a fanboy of anyone,,,,just a matter of Human Respect and Dignity!
No, for a long time people had no other choice other than windows, that doesn't mean Microsoft had good taste or design, It just means there was no other option.
i'm sad that bill gates left for THIS moron to take over. over the next few years gates will just have to sit back and cry as ballsackmer destroyed the dynasty he built.
and yes sir, most of the world would not be spending big bucks on flashy stuff... Windows brought computer literacy to more people than mac. maybe android has the potential to introduce computers to billions more.
When Steve Balmer AND Bill Gates are asked a direct question about something like Job's jab at Microsofts not having taste, Steve Jobs is referring to Bill Gates theft of Steve's ideas and technology.
In Balmer's response, notice:
Jobs says "Microsoft knows how to partner with companies" which is clearly referring to Bill Gates applying to and working for Apple.
Gates replies "Steve has good taste. Better than mine." Basically saying "Hell yeah I stole it. I'm rich BIATCH!"
@TheSkeletonKing "Steve Jobs is referring to Bill Gates theft of Steve's ideas and technology." Ever wondered where Jobs got it from? He stole it from Xerox.
Fine folks. I'm sorry for offending the Apple fans out there, but it's not like I just made this up. rushrules1968 makes a good point about believing what it written on the web, so here's where I'm basing my judgement: tinyurl (dot ) com/4bkwg . It's a safe link URL, just easier to type. Just so you guys know, I don't hate Apple with every fiber of my body. I own an iPod and love iTunes. I even have a legal copy of OS X running on VMWare. I can't stand the prices and compete control.
@LNMagic You have no idea what you're talking about. I've been working for Apple for 5 years and it's been nothing short of excellent. We work in a great environment and we are treated will nothing but respect by our upper management. If you don't work for either company what do you know about how people are treated. Don't believe everything you read.
@SirBlendalot Ballner is a joke. And by saying that Jobs has taste, well that means design oriented thinking, well ballner said they have functionality, that is BS, because whatever you design all if you do not have functionality you don't have a good design. Well if Jobs has a good design it implies good functionality, and this from a linux fan. And if you wanna talk about coders, well the linux kernel has coders, and windows micro-soft indeed has excellent xerox machines called coders. think..
I wish they could make a PC that looks half as good as a mac.. I mean that with almost ever company that makes pc products.. all cheap looking.. poor materials.. lack of attention to design. over detailed. if mac is a clean modern building designed by an actual architect, microsoft products are suburban homes built and designed by a land developer. Suburban homes are much more popular and inexpensive, but which one is better?
"There's is about design and ours is about funcionality", HA FUCKING HA. So funny I forgot to laugh. Ballmar sucks, vista sucks, 7 sucks, and xbox blows hard.
Well, he's right... That guy that throwed those eggs was angry beceause Microsoft has so much of money and keep it all for theirselves. That is not true. Do you know Bill & Melinda Gates foundations? That's an organisation by Bill Gates to help poor people and mostly people in Africa. Steve Jobs is the best paid CEO of the US! He has no such organisations, he keeps everything for himself. Compare the price of a PC with a Mac, and you will see which company is the most worst...
Microsoft blows. PC stand for piece of crap. I am an X computer tech. Went to itt tech, was A+ certified in 11th grade switched to Mac when I was 19 because I know I can go home to it at night and it will work for me. Windows is a joke, over priced garbage for the masses.
@ItsNado You know that even if you own a mac, its still a PC, or Personal Computer right? Hey i mean no harm, i live in all operating environments (windows, Linux, and osX) and my favorite is the mac.
That's funny that Ballmer would bring up something as inane as market share when Apple is eating their lunch, profits, stock value, and assets-wise. It just goes to show you that market share isn't everything. Or anything, for that matter.
Both Windows 7 and Snowy have issues. Luckily fom Snowy u don't see that much problems, since it runs on limited hardware. Try creating a hackintosh and fail, u won't be pleased. But I like Apples design, overpiced yes but spyware free.
However iOS is underestimated. I could use an Ipad and never need a pc anymore. With the right apps given. I guess Microsoft will follow in the footsteps of Apple, in regards to Zune phone, and Apple store. But bing is a fail, it does not find shit.
"Tablets move slowly because the technology's not quite ready, the technology's not quite at the right price point, because the technology isn't exactly appealing, it needs to be modified to really appeal."
Well, lucky for him, Apple was on the case solving those problems.
Ballmer's same argument about the iPhone circa 2006 was that Apple haven't sold any iPhones and M$ has over one hundred business phones so we'll see what happens...
Ballmer isn't a bad guy, he is just doing his job, annoying however, and likes to scream and sweat, but whatever, he's got more money than any of us will ever have haha.
STEVE JOBS went to China-paid $1 million, the Chinese then killed his donor match and JOBS got his new liver. Steve-blow-JOBS your going to need that ice water for when you get to hell-TAKE your crappy Apple I-PODS with you FAGGOTT, Body part thief!
Listen to this guy. He's a CEO for a reason. I've picked up on several important business model notes from this clip. So MS doesn't make the best polished software - but they work with other businesses to ensure there is cross platform compatiblity that gives us the consumers more choice at better price points. Apple is great for making Lexus. MS is great making Nexus.
To say that MS is merely a follower tells me that you have not done much programming. Visual Studio is simply amazing - you can build whole interfaces with just a point-and-click routine, which is an incredible time saver as well as a great way to introduce uniformity in programs. Microsoft was quite wise in making software development easier than really any other company had done.
Now look at Apple peripheral development. One theme comes up a lot: no clear rules.
Honestly, considering the 'They have no taste' interview was in like 1995, you think Ballmer could have come up with a better response.
Instead of saying, 'we have great people, and cool UI's look at the Glass in Vista, etc, he tries to use a raw numbers game. Like Apple hasn't sold like 500 million iPods by now. What Apple does better than anyone is Hardware/Software integration. What MS does better than anyone is PC Monopolizin. Thanks IBM.
@wesscoast "you think Ballmer could have come up with a better response." Actually, I honestly don't. Microsoft are followers. They can't think for themselves. They have turned into the GM/Boeing of software. The company is more bloated than their big bowl of spaghetti code.
@chobotnorgolbo And you think Apple is any different? Or Google? In this industry it's never been about who came up with the idea first, but who was able to take it, make it better, and do great things with it. OS X is no more Apple's own developement (look up NeXT OS) than MS-DOS was Microsoft's (look up 86-DOS).
@LNMagic Yeah, until they laid off 15,000 of them because of Microsoft's inability to innovate. All I know is that they better do something fast because they are on a slippery slope. I'm just not hopeful for them. I doubt Windows 7 mobile with fly off shelves, Konnect may be a huge failure, and PS3 will outsell the Xbox 360 either at the ending of this year or the beginning of the next. Don't think I'm out insulting Microsoft I love my Windows 7 laptop
@3000ryu has little to do with innovation. What apple does is not innovation. Touchscreens and round corners is not innovation. The business is turning into being all about image
@bl4h1 It's not all about hardware. The software is the innovation. But if you want to believe that people have used a touchscreen as responsive and and user friendly as iOS before then be my guest.
@MikeyZeov If you gave Steve Jobs a book, he'd spend a week obsessing over the font but wouldn't be able to tell you what it was about. Then he'd give you the same hype that's already printed on the cover and expect you to worship him for it.
@LNMagic Thats HIGHLY exaggerated. Steve doesn't go around on firing crusades anymore like he used to. Usually, if an employee gets fired, they probably did something to deserve it. Thats the same at EVERY COMPANY, including MS.
Yes, fear is not the way to make people 'like' you, but I think Steve has proven quite well that it is an incredibly successful way of driving out the ABSOLUTE best in a person. Just look at what Apple employees have accomplished. Because of Jobs push for innovation
@scrahan81 You know, I really don't hate Apple. I love iTunes, but I prefer to control the hardware in my own system. By the way, remember Pixar, which at one point was headed by Jobs? Care to guess what they use for their rendering farms?
@LNMagic Care to guess what Microsoft uses to build their phones and due their marketing and render their campaign adds?
Sure if you just want pure processing muscle w/o the superior operating system and don't need the best quality fit and finish and customer support, Apple isn't the way to go, but for all else, even MS uses Macs..
@FeeLtheHertZ And I have a group friends who own their own production studio (Haywire Studios). My best friend owns a Mac, but the guy who does most of the special effects and editing uses Windows. For most professional design, the OS used does not matter. When you want the absolute most scalable OS that has precisely what you need, you go to Linux.
@LNMagic yes people are not afraid to lose theur job in microsoft because they know its such a crappy place to work in. and apple is the best place you can work for.
@LNMagic I know people that work at both Apple and MSFT, and what you've written is a load of tripe. MSFT is a company that doesn't even allow it's employees to use Chrome or yahoo mail, because they have to use shoddy msft s.ware, it's a company that's lacked any innovative drive in years. MSFT houses a ridiculous artificial corporate culture, to the extent that employees HAVE to attend a party for a product release, because they think it'll encourage a start-up mentality. How stupid is that?
@LNMagic Yeah, because Ballmer is the one running the successful company, right? He's taken Microsoft from the top to pure shit. Jobs took Apple from near bankruptcy to the most valuable company on the planet. I think i'd rather listen to Jobs and run shit his way.
If Microsoft focuses on functionality, why do they remove more of it with every iteration of their Software?
Look at their backup tool for example. XP backup was not pretty, but it could do everthing you might want it to do.
For Vista, they removed almost all functionality and what was left was a huge window with a button that said "Backup my shit". You never knew what it considered worthy of being saved.
In 7, they added a lot of that back, but it's still a far cry from Time Machine.
The thing is, Microsoft will always be in the game. I find it absolutely hilarious at how much people do not realize that supporting Apple is in fact supporting Microsoft. Microsoft owns millions of dollars worth of Apple stock.
Personally, I find the Apple computer better suited toward people who do not understand computers who want a user friendly experience. On the other hand, Microsoft is better built for computer savvy users.
Man, you're such a bonehead, completely convinced about you being right.
I take it that you are an apple user then, because you are so sure apple users "need" to run windows apps? So you own a Mac then?
Strange, because at work I use XP and at home I use a Mac and I haven't had any "need" to run windows apps at home, even though I can do basically the same stuff with both of them.
Stop trying to persuade, it's all about what system you prefer. It's like saying apples are better than oranges.
cant he just shut his mouth up and stop giving bad opinions on other people, cause i always sees him giving bad opinion on everything else than Microsoft on every videos about him... This proves that Microsoft cant come up any innovative ideas that can be presented in a meeting... or Steve Ballmer is just a dumbass who dont get involve in the development of Microsoft's softwares
Games ? games? who gives a rat's arse about games. Computing is not about games unless you're one of the dumbed down majority who will be busily playing his computer game as the storm troopers kick in his front door and drag him and his equally stupid family off to the local FEMA concentration camp.
Computers and the internet are all about communicating and exchanging important news, not being distracted by childish games.
i agree.... consoles r for games... yes, windows has greater games support but Mac OS X is much better at doing other things windows isnt as good at..
@popcornandgoobers no the graphics are alot better on any game if your computer is good enough and you can get the ps3 or 360 control to work on the pc (360 control is made by ms)
fuck apple stay in the game for ever microsoft you'v done so great for so long and vista don't suck i used it since it came out and had no problams with drivers support so great work microsoft
look all op systems are good each one has its pros and cons... stop fighting about stupid opinions of which you think better or not keep your opinions to urself
As a person who used windows vista in recent years can now claim that Nobody has ever made more true statement about microsoft than what steve jobs did. that historical statement was actually spot on.
Can't that bitch say one nice thing about jobs that's not buisness wise? Jobs says so many nice things about Microsoft. And jobs doesn't take down them every time he speaks. Maybe just once in a while but not every time he speaks like BALLSmer does.
Did you honestly just complain that Microsoft talks negatively about Apple too much, and Apple needs to start doing the same?
I'm sorry, but if so then you must be one of the most arrogant people on the planet. Obviously you've never seen a single Mac advert.
And yet Windows never retaliates to the bullshit 'facts' they spew, and just uses it's own product to advertise itself, rather than insulting the competitor.
I know what taste Microsoft has. It's fast-food taste with much shit in it. It looks delicious and you want it more and more, but you get more fat, same as you get more stupid.
Wow I didn't realise that. I have a top end computer and have never played a game on it that I didn't program myself.
I'd say less than 0.01% of my (very very long) time on my computer is spent playing games. Yet I definitely don't feel dumber than someone who can't handle two mouse buttons.
@adamfawcett Maybe you couldn't handle the Magic Mouse, then. Let me know how you like virus/trojan/malware/spyware fumigation, and rescuing your registry every six months so your CPU doesn't choke and smoke. I've owned my MacBook for four years, and it's never given me a problem--not once--and I don't have anything resembling a virus protection program on it. And I download like crazy. Try that kind of computing on your PC.
I don't get viruses or trojans because I know how to actually USE a computer without being spoon fed. I don't run any anti-virus software, again, because I know how to use a computer. My current PC is pretty new.. however my last PC is now standing at 8 years old and is still running fine at my family home, one problem ever - and it was MY mistake. reformatted = fixed.
My point is: anyone who doesn't download 'free p1n3s largerer' spam won't have problems with virus' or crashing on a PC.
So it's the same old, "I don't need to be spoon fed, I don't need a Mac." Yawn. Free BSD is anything but for dummies, and Apple's GUI is the best because it's the most copied--because it is simple. You simply do not get the same level of protection on a non-Nix (Unix, Linux) system that you would on a truly dumb OS like Windows, because every object, every action is associated with a user/group iron-right manageable permissions. That's why Windows fails.
Viruses for Windows are a product of its success. OSX isn't immune to viruses(nor is Linux), but with a little common sense you can avoid viruses on OSX ,Windows, Linux, or whatever.
@MrRubiez In a Nix environment everything is associated with a permission--every user, every group, every object, every action, FROM THE GROUND UP. Windows is not, and it's this reason, not because of Windows' "success" that makes Windows so vulnerable. Windows is a house built on sand.
@keytoothed I use Linux everyday as my primary OS(my only OS right now)
User permissions won't stop viruses. They can destroy or corrupt data owned by the executing user. It may stop a user performing tasks left for the superuser.
The volume of viruses for Windows is greater than Linux partly because of its success, I have no doubt about that.
Windows Vista and 7 also have an ACL with permissions of what you and cannot do nowadays - what you said is true for older versions of Windows.
@MrRubiez Not only are you wrong, you're dead wrong, you're doing nothing but parroting the same old PC fanboy claptrap. Having an OS that is Nix-based allows for far superior control over a system in the event of an outbreak, unlike an OS like Windows, Vista or 7. There is absolutely no comparison between the control you would have as a root user in a Nix environment, as opposed to the big steaming pile of spaghetti that is Windows secuirty. I'm sorry, but you obviously haven't a clue.
haha.. I've come to expect this kind of reply on youtube :-) Let's take the recent local user escalation exploit for the Linux kernel. There is nothing to stop a virus writer including that inside their virus, and causing havoc on your system - infact, they can use havoc with normal user privileges too.
By the way, I'm not a fanboy of any OS. I'm objective, and present the facts as I see them. Let's stick to the topic, and not throw public insults. Thanks.
the 90% market share floodlight from windows is obviously considerably more capable of attracting annoying insects than the below 10% market share dim light of linux/ OSX!
can't see the fanboy-factor, i really hate windows and MS, but i want to play games easily and so Win7 is the price i have to pay for my habit!
@Thinkle911 Anyone claims that OS X and Linux and other *Nix OSes get less viruses because of Windows has 90% of the market knows absolutely nothing about the difference between the security of a Nix OS--in which every operation, user and group is associated with a r,w,x permission--and the spaghetti code that is Windows. Over and over again, PC gaymers flaunt their ignorance when they keeping parroting the same line of bullshit. Learn the difference, fanboy.
@aaroninclub so what the fuck if Microshit lost 10% of market share if they still own the other 80% i guess steve ballzmore and billy hates were like this:
ey yo stevie!!!
waddup bill?
pass me the blunt youz hoggin that shit
ai mate sorry
btw steve whats our status in the market share
well were at 80% nowdays
*cough* those motherfuckers are finaly doin some work
Why the need to customize your PC? Was it not what you intended it to be out of the box? Why spend as much as you could on a mac in customizing your PC to get it to work?
If you had a Mac you can still run your Windoze bloatware too!

Sure if you just want pure processing muscle w/o the superior operating system and don't need the best quality fit and finish and customer support, Apple isn't the way to go, but for all else, even MS uses Macs..
FeeLtheHertZ 7 months ago
@FeeLtheHertZ And I have a group friends who own their own production studio (Haywire Studios). My best friend owns a Mac, but the guy who does most of the special effects and editing uses Windows. For most professional design, the OS used does not matter. When you want the absolute most scalable OS that has precisely what you need, you go to Linux.

On the other hand, Microsoft is better built for computer savvy users.
cricketjazzclub 2 years ago 2
@cricketjazzclub I'm computer savy, i use a mac. Why? Three reasons. Final cut, photoshop and iLife.
itsonlydesign 2 years ago
@cricketjazzclub
Your statement about user types is wrong; based solely on it's over-generalization.
I'm tech savvy, and I've been using both PCs and Macs continuously since 1994.
Furthermore, when I need to get things done, I'm usually at my Mac. But when I'm in the mood to tweak, I've got my PC case open.
It's as simple as that.
As for MS owning Apple stock, I suggest you do more homework. Supporting Apple is not supporting Microsoft; at least not to a point where it matters.
trilogypart3 2 years ago
Wrong.
Supporting Apple is supporting Microsoft. It's called BOOTCAMP.
Apple users NEED to run some windows applications. So, they will dish out for a windows OS.
cmontesi23 2 years ago
Man, you're such a bonehead, completely convinced about you being right.
I take it that you are an apple user then, because you are so sure apple users "need" to run windows apps? So you own a Mac then?
Strange, because at work I use XP and at home I use a Mac and I haven't had any "need" to run windows apps at home, even though I can do basically the same stuff with both of them.
Stop trying to persuade, it's all about what system you prefer. It's like saying apples are better than oranges.

Windows is for games?
Wow I didn't realise that. I have a top end computer and have never played a game on it that I didn't program myself.
I'd say less than 0.01% of my (very very long) time on my computer is spent playing games. Yet I definitely don't feel dumber than someone who can't handle two mouse buttons.
adamfawcett 2 years ago
@adamfawcett Maybe you couldn't handle the Magic Mouse, then. Let me know how you like virus/trojan/malware/spyware fumigation, and rescuing your registry every six months so your CPU doesn't choke and smoke. I've owned my MacBook for four years, and it's never given me a problem--not once--and I don't have anything resembling a virus protection program on it. And I download like crazy. Try that kind of computing on your PC.
keytoothed 2 years ago
I don't get viruses or trojans because I know how to actually USE a computer without being spoon fed. I don't run any anti-virus software, again, because I know how to use a computer. My current PC is pretty new.. however my last PC is now standing at 8 years old and is still running fine at my family home, one problem ever - and it was MY mistake. reformatted = fixed.
My point is: anyone who doesn't download 'free p1n3s largerer' spam won't have problems with virus' or crashing on a PC.
adamfawcett 2 years ago
So it's the same old, "I don't need to be spoon fed, I don't need a Mac." Yawn. Free BSD is anything but for dummies, and Apple's GUI is the best because it's the most copied--because it is simple. You simply do not get the same level of protection on a non-Nix (Unix, Linux) system that you would on a truly dumb OS like Windows, because every object, every action is associated with a user/group iron-right manageable permissions. That's why Windows fails.
keytoothed 2 years ago
Viruses for Windows are a product of its success. OSX isn't immune to viruses(nor is Linux), but with a little common sense you can avoid viruses on OSX ,Windows, Linux, or whatever.
MrRubiez 2 years ago
@MrRubiez In a Nix environment everything is associated with a permission--every user, every group, every object, every action, FROM THE GROUND UP. Windows is not, and it's this reason, not because of Windows' "success" that makes Windows so vulnerable. Windows is a house built on sand.
keytoothed 2 years ago
@keytoothed I use Linux everyday as my primary OS(my only OS right now)
User permissions won't stop viruses. They can destroy or corrupt data owned by the executing user. It may stop a user performing tasks left for the superuser.
The volume of viruses for Windows is greater than Linux partly because of its success, I have no doubt about that.
Windows Vista and 7 also have an ACL with permissions of what you and cannot do nowadays - what you said is true for older versions of Windows.
MrRubiez 2 years ago
@MrRubiez Not only are you wrong, you're dead wrong, you're doing nothing but parroting the same old PC fanboy claptrap. Having an OS that is Nix-based allows for far superior control over a system in the event of an outbreak, unlike an OS like Windows, Vista or 7. There is absolutely no comparison between the control you would have as a root user in a Nix environment, as opposed to the big steaming pile of spaghetti that is Windows secuirty. I'm sorry, but you obviously haven't a clue.
keytoothed 2 years ago
@keytoothed
Thanks.
MrRubiez 2 years ago
@keytoothed
the 90% market share floodlight from windows is obviously considerably more capable of attracting annoying insects than the below 10% market share dim light of linux/ OSX!
can't see the fanboy-factor, i really hate windows and MS, but i want to play games easily and so Win7 is the price i have to pay for my habit!
Thinkle911 2 years ago
@Thinkle911 Anyone claims that OS X and Linux and other *Nix OSes get less viruses because of Windows has 90% of the market knows absolutely nothing about the difference between the security of a Nix OS--in which every operation, user and group is associated with a r,w,x permission--and the spaghetti code that is Windows. Over and over again, PC gaymers flaunt their ignorance when they keeping parroting the same line of bullshit. Learn the difference, fanboy.
