Not only are they restricted to under 250 kts below 10,000 but they are also restricted to no greater than 200 kts once in class B, C, or D airspace. @1crazysupertrucker you need to do your research because Mach 1 is around 500-600 kts depending on air temp. Stick with trucking man.

Actually it is a FAR to not use electronic device in the cockpit of an airplane since it may have an affect on nav and comm freq. Passengers have to put theirs away because sometimes planes can get into turbulence and the devices (laptop, ipod) climbing out or desending around the airport. Yes this is a routine flight and they are using an arrival procedure to make air traffic flow easier. Common for an airline into a busy airspace.

FAIL - The only connection between the visual and the song is the random placement of the words "Los Angeles" — the rest of the lyrics make this video a FAIL — especially with the racist addition of a sound effect of a siren as the plane flies over Watts. I have flown into LAX more times than I can count (CALI native/ VA transplant).... I love to fly and have flown a lot, but I have never gotten a cockpit view, tho always wanted too! It is amazing how they find that itty bitty runway through all those city lights! :) Impressive!

If he was holding it, then yes, that would be bad, however the camera looks like it is mounted and that the recording was started before the approach, so therefor the Pilot was able to 100% focus on the flight
