  • I left my bike in Merida and few to Cuba from Cancun, Mexico. It is possible to take your bike via Panama or Colombia. Belize is attached to Mexico and travel by road is normal. No downsides except non working ATM's in some places. I let my cash reserve drop because Cuba is a 100% cash economy and, because of an ATM issue I had to have some cash sent to me by Western Union. All in All a great trip, no security issues anywhere and we are going again on the same bike two up all way to Ushuaia.

  • Very interesting trip! First I am a big Acker Bilk fan, so very nice to watch with nice background music. I too have a KLR650, and would love to do a similar trip. Did you have the bike air lifted to Cuba, Beliz etc, or did you go by way of water. How difficult was it getting into Cuba with the motorcycle? Any downsides to your trip? Cheers

  • Dang, Cuba sure looks like a neat place to go visit. I can't think of anywhere else where I'd see American classics and Soviet Ladas running side by side. Dig the East German MZ 250 ES at 06:10!
