Gorillas don't climb trees, even though they can. Even if you come face to face with one, it's very unlikely it would attack you. Just don't look it in the eyes. A chimp, though, would tear you apart if you come face to face with it. Chimps are smaller than most men but they are very strong and they have been known to kill humans. There's a vid somewhere of chimp attacking four grown men, killing two of them!
