This helped me in understanding SOPA fairly well. I think the idea that "items having more value for the money will stop piracy" is a bit rudimentary and people will still pirate things no matter how good the value is. Thanks for the post and the explanation for the bill.

@fischemc True some will always pirate but when you add enough value someone will be converted and that slowly starts to fix the problem. This is not something that can be fixed with a bandage it will take a long time to heal.
