I've been up in the Gifford a couple of times and know that the area is absolutely rife with Elk.
Hard to not hit them on Hwy 12. But I also hiked a ridge in that area and got a real spooky feeling that I should turn around. Hard to say, could've been a cougar or bear I felt, but the thing that strikes me as I watch you guys fussing around the casting is that it's a little sad that this is the among the best evidence.
