radical, a think its a bit trying hard to be a la mode. i like it anyway but its over stylised... neither of them really got jungle/drum and bass... so they are really voyeurs (of utter destruction) but bowie loves taking a song and doing an alt version he even did a reggae version of space oddity in 1969! and the david live album and the soul version of john im only dancing. eno bit over rated imo

One of the best versions ever. The time he did the Euro MTV awards with this version in his long coat was masterful. David Bowie is always masterful. If you are just discovering him you will soon find that there is and never will be another. You will also find out he is the most important musical artist of ALL time. If he happens to tour again which is not likely and you see him you will go into a trance like state. I predict if he tours it will be the biggest grossing tour in history.

It all depends on your taste in music. For some this works, for others they appreciate more the original and Nirvana versions. When it comes to Eno I think he's like Ben Liebrand with remixes, some sound great and others not so much. Usually I like mixes that stay true to the original but every now and then you get one that makes the exception, like this one for me, that's just my taste in music.

@kronikels1 I personally like it. We're all so familiar with the original, there is nothing wrong with an artist-sanctioned rethink. It works. It does not replace the original, and that isn't how Eno does things. It's a matter of deconstruction, which can ultimately bring one back to the original to hear other potentials. So, yeah, I am like you when it comes to originals generally, but fussing about and remixing is also pretty cool when it does in fact work.

I can't get my head round this at all, really odd. I'm too used to the original i think. John Cale does radically diffrent versions of his old tunes when he plays live. You can be 2 minutes into a tune befor you realise what song his doing.

This is unequivocally the best version of this song. Never really liked the original, but this is awesome. Almost like Massive Attack doing it with Bowie's vocals.
