I know what you mean about feeling like youre going it alone. I was the oldest person in most of my classes. It was so hard to find lab partners and friends! Everyone already seemed to know each other. Oh how I hated those first few months. I actually managed to "break the ice" by coming to school in black leather, heavy make-up, weird hair and platform heels.
I love your accent! Is it Scottish? My mother is Welsh but it's faint because she hasn't been in UK for a long while. I get like that too sometimes. It's OK, it happens. ^_^

Word of mouth is a funny thing sometimes, and they say it's the best advertising, so if friends recommend friends to watch you (like my friend did..) you'll get tons more viewers and subscribers! Even if people don't watch for the makeup, they'll watch for you, your funny, quirky, cute personality, and your stories! :-) Keep doing what you're doing, because you are great-THANKS! (...zoom zoom..heehee)
If you really want to work for MAC, the best thing you can convey to them is that you can SELL!! They could care less what you look like, or even how good your artistry is (MAC knows you can always learn) But since its essentally retail, you have to have great selling skills!! You must also have a positive and upbeat attitude, and judging from your videos you'll have no problem there. You have a very genuine and sincere quality about you.

Ahh you'd be a great MAC artist - as a MAC Customer tho, I haven't found the SA's to be particularly friendly or helpful so you would be a breath of fresh air!

I enrolled on a teacher training course in October and did two weeks, then my tutor said I was on the wrong course so I have had to come back after half term and start with a whole new bunch. I was so nervous and wondered if I was out of my depth (they all work in teaching - I don't). However, everyone I spoke to was really friendly so I'm hoping it'll be ok.

Aww, the same thing happened at work! About 2 weeks after starting I was pulled aside and asked if I was ok, and somehow they had found out about my sister. I told them I was fine and they asked why I didn't smile more and I looked angry all the time [I think I told you the same thing when you first started on here LOL] Anyway they brought her up and I started crying when I tried to tell them I was fine and my boss ended up crying too! LOL I was just shy since it was a new job.
I think people who always expect you to smile are the ones with the problem. Even when you are totaly happy in your head it may not show in your face.. well I know I can be like that, thats why I earned my sacrcastic nickname "smiler" lol

Word of mouth is a funny thing sometimes, and they say it's the best advertising, so if friends recommend friends to watch you (like my friend did..) you'll get tons more viewers and subscribers! Even if people don't watch for the makeup, they'll watch for you, your funny, quirky, cute personality, and your stories! :-) Keep doing what you're doing, because you are great-THANKS! If you really want to work for MAC, the best thing you can convey to them is that you can SELL!! They could care less what you look like, or even how good your artistry is (MAC knows you can always learn) But since its essentally retail, you have to have great selling skills!! You must also have a positive and upbeat attitude, and judging from your videos you'll have no problem there. You have a very genuine and sincere quality about you.

Ahh you'd be a great MAC artist - as a MAC Customer tho, I haven't found the SA's to be particularly friendly or helpful so you would be a breath of fresh air!
But if they don't take you there are lots of other good counters too! I reckon you'd be brill as a Shu Uemura girl.

I enrolled on a teacher training course in October and did two weeks, then my tutor said I was on the wrong course so I have had to come back after half term and start with a whole new bunch. I was so nervous and wondered if I was out of my depth (they all work in teaching - I don't). However, everyone I spoke to was really friendly so I'm hoping it'll be ok.

Aww, the same thing happened at work! About 2 weeks after starting I was pulled aside and asked if I was ok, and somehow they had found out about my sister. I told them I was fine and they asked why I didn't smile more and I looked angry all the time [I think I told you the same thing when you first started on here LOL] Anyway they brought her up and I started crying when I tried to tell them I was fine and my boss ended up crying too! LOL I was just shy since it was a new job.

Take a little advice from an 'older' fan. Do something nice for yourself EVERY week. Plan it out and DO it, no matter what. Taking time out during a hectic week allows you to relax, reflect and make good decisions.
