backside is harder but sometimes you can get some good torque out your body by coiling up like a spring. I think it really helps to have your foot back farther on the pad...like way back in contrast to frontside. Kind of depends on the waves too. I know on smaller days I will try a backside snap and than just have the wave pass me by.

Whats the difference between a snap and a re-entry?

@SuperCamo111 Re-entry only means after doing a bottom turn going to the lip and dropping back in staight up, or smacking the lip (snap). A snap is just a form of re entry pretty much, just more radical.

If your loosing the wave, you probably aren't putting enough w8 on your front foot and leaning back too much

From backside, I carve and when I rotate my body on the top of the wave, I just 'lose' the wave, it passes of me.. Maybe 'cause of low speed..

this used to happen a few years back. you need to time it better when you do your bottom turn and approach the turn, and yeh u also need more speed
