I played WoW for a while on the Horde side, then I took a two year break from the game. I will be playing again in 4 days or so, and I'm thinking about switching to the Alliance to try it out. I'm going to be making a Dwarf Paladin. Can't wait, I really love Dwarves, and Paladin seems really fun. It's going to be good learning to play all over again. I'm also looking to be a tank, so is there any tips/videos anybody can tell me about Protection Paladin Tanking? Please reply, thanks so much.

@sayonara123 Yes, WoW has a 6 year old graphics engine. But, Blizzard does what it can to update the graphics as much as it can with each expansion. That, and considering WoW still manages to have Scenery Porn for zone graphics (Have you seen images of the Skywall?!) is an impressive feat for the graphic designers at Blizzard. That, and the older graphics of WoW are part of it's draw; it will run reasonably well on older computers.

Last time Malfurion was awake, the elves were neither Alliance or horde. They joined the Alliance when he was trapped in the Nightmare.

Malfurion has no ties to the Alliance whatsoever, the night elves joined without him. Him being neutral (as he is on Hyjal, and you'll notice in Darnassus he isn't PvP flagged) means nothing has changed.

I find it funny that the Horde races are now nearly at war with each other and they must all fight for survival, but the Alliance races are all pretty much only worried about politics. The Horde is much more interesting than the Alliance in Cataclysm...

@Zyrdrak They've always been, not just in cataclysm. Even in Halls of Reflections, Sylvannas was clearly more aggressive and out for revenge against the Lich King, while Jaina was whining about her "true love" and "I believe there's still good in him omg!". Just for one example =]
