The song is horrible and annoying want to stab eardrums and turn ....i will never use ups now i would rather deliver the package my damn self than us ups now
I actually love the song! That's how I found this video! (I personally don't like UPS, FedEx, or USPS because they all piss me off but I love the song! LOL)
Can't see the basis for the dislike. Appropriate message, pleasant voice, catchy tune...what is to so unpleasant. I would wager this will imprint on the minds of business people around the globe. Well done.
What upsets me more than anything is that some terribly uncreative people were actually PAID to come up with this detestable ad campaign. The jingle has single-handedly alienated many potential customers simply by irritating them to no end (myself included). EVERY time this commercial comes on, it becomes a scramble to find the remote so that I can hit the mute button. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
@ika6352 Actually UPS is the most profitable delivery company out there and this we love logistics campaign was considered to be a great success. It is clear you have no idea what you are talking about, if you are not going to use a company because you don't like their song rather than because you don't like their service then you are incredibly stupid.
@trinapinks While I will grant you the benefit of the doubt by assuming that you are indeed some sort of authority on the success of advertising campaigns, I refuse to offer a thoughful, incisive reply to your grammatically challenged remark on the grounds that you simply don't deserve one. So instead, I'll leave you with something a little more on your level: If you love logistics so much then why don't you marry them?
@ika6352 This is the dumbest comment I have ever read, what are you 12. If you disagree with my assessment on the incorrectness of your statement, then make a valid argument to back up your claim that this ad campaign was unsuccessful and drove away potential customers otherwise keep the childish comments to yourself. Oh and I am an authority on the success of business strategies which this ad campaign falls under.
@trinapinks "This is the dumbest comment I have ever read, what are you 12." Why should I argue with someone who doesn't even know how to put a question mark at the end of a question? I'm sorry but even though you want to turn this into a big thing, I'm simply not going to engage you. You have proven yourself incapable of writing a simple, coherent post and If you're looking for a "valid argument" open your eyes and read the other critical comments on this page. This discussion is over.
This is the most annoying ad campaign ever... and to make things worse, when the ad is on tv it seems like they play it during every commercial break, even a great commercial becomes tiresome when your constantly being bombarded with it. This rubbish really rubs me the wrong way. I know realistically UPS will not just throw the whole campaign in the trash but please, please rework the song. I now associate UPS with ANNOYING.
if you guys thing you could do a better job, prove it! dont just blah, blah blah...if you thing it's not worth viewing, just move on and shut up.70,000++ other viewers have certainly different view from you.
And another thing ... if you're going to go ahead and massacre a song classic like "That's Amore," why not at least find a halfway decent singer instead of someone with a piercing, mincing style that's offputting in the extreme.
Memo to the ad producers: The Manhattan School of Music, Curtis Institute and others are STUFFED with top-quality singers who would be dying to make a couple hundred dollars for their talent. Any one of of them would have been better than what you came up with!
I have to agree with mditulli, below. I can't believe UPS focus group-tested this commercial ... if they had, they would have quickly come to realize just how completely IRRITATING and OBNOXIOUS the ad jingle is to any sane person.
I've never had "bad vibes" about the UPS brand before -- even the squeaky whiteboard marker used by that pretentious "college graduate assistant" in their last campaign wan't all that horrible. But this ad travesty is sorely testing my patience.
I prefer to change the channel every. single. time this annoying ad comes on just so I don't have to hear it. Way to ruin my television viewing experience UPS.. Please stop hijacking popular music just to sell your goods and services - it's pretty disgusting to those of us who enjoy the original songs.
Very well done. "That's Logistics" and UPS seem to be a perfect marriage. One of the world's great music standards with one of the world's premier companies,
Betsy, why did you change the original vocals?? Real bummer. The original vocals were the winning part of the ad. Now I hate listening to the commercial. Sounds totally flat and lifeless now. Shame you couldn't stay as bold as you started. Bad decision.
@kjdenver I agree completely. The original vocals sounded so much better, and oddly now I cannot find any original versions online.
But the new vocals are flat and lifeless and the commercials went from worth watching to making me want to change the channel just to get away from it
@trinapinks is there anything wrong with being 12? you were 12 once...
