just a bit of history for you this in fact is the second episode of home and away because the first episode was a 2 hour debute which aired in january of 1988 this was the first 30 minnute episode which if my memory is right this show was aired on a 5:30pm time slot before moving to its today's time of 7pm which began in 1993 wow i can't believe that sally was ever that young and i wonder what kate's thoughts and memorys are of this episode sally fletcher 1988-2008 (i feel so old)

actually she died in the diner from a heart condition while carrying some boxes. she had found out she might have heart problems but missed an appointment with the doctor and unfortunately the strain of carrying the boxes killed her. there wa a fire in the diner a couple of years before though, which is why it moved to the 2nd location as the 'beachside diner' (which is where ailsa died)

I sort of remember the first season of Home and Away. Back in 1989, YTV in Canada used to air this show, and I loved it, although I was only eight at the time. They stopped around 1990. Then, Global started airing H&A about 10 years later, with the 2000 episodes, and I feel that Canada was INCREDIBLY cheated in regards to this wonderful show.
