  • This song is played at Bloomfield Road, home to Blackpool F.C, whenever a goal is scored by the Tangerines. It was played once against Chelsea, twice against Manchester United and City and three times against Spurs and is loved by all supporters whatever the occasion. • i love this sond cause crystal palace have it aswell

  • We're just looking at a turntable? Why don't you dance?

  • Dave Clark Five was a great band. one of the underrated bands of the 60s.

  • well, he was a lousy drummer as well.....

But they hat a lot more hits than only two, that´s a fact. Just look around here on Youtube and you will find.

  • Way more than only two successful singles... What about "Bits and Pieces", "Because", "Any Way You Want It", "Come On Home", "Having A Wild Weekend", "Catch Us If You Can", "Over and Over", "I Like It Like That", "Try Too Hard", "At The Scene", "Everybody Knows", "You Got What It Takes", etc.

  • That's why I find it so strange that, at least in the U.S., it's almost impossible to find DC5 CD's. They were a VERY successful band ("Because" being my personal favorite). I've actually got DC5's "Coast to Coast" on Vinyl, which had the single "Everybody Knows". What's more, the DC5 were inducted into the R&R H.O.F. last year, which was awesome.

  • "Because" is probably my favorite DC5 track as well... that organ opening gets me every time!

  • @JamesBaller909 They richly their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. They were very good band that competed with the Beatles.

  • @VinylRecords60 You got that right. I had their greatest hits album and lost it back in the 70s. Can't find them on a CD. They got caught in between the Beatles and Stones. I saw them in concert back in 1964 in Baltimore.

  • @VinylRecords60 You got that right. I had their greatest hits album and lost it back in the 70s. Can't find them on a CD. The bad thing is the DC5 got caught in between the Beatles and Stones . I saw them in concert back in 1964 in Baltimore.

  • Thanks for sharing. One of my favorites. This group sounds great any day any year!! Monjinou - The Naked Truth

  • It has a nice thump to it. Nice song, thanks for posting. :o)#

  • great song

  • happy birthday mike smith

  • Awesome!!!

    Wonderful melody and powerful rhythm.

Cannot be believed the sound in the 60's.

Personally, I think that this band is an originator of Powerpop.

Please forgive me when it is saucy comment.

This sentence was translated on the English translation site in Japan.

    I'm sorry by poor English.

  • Perfect words we all understand -worldwide :)

  • Thank you very much for response comment.

    I will make every effort.

  • Beatles rule, but I sure do love the DC-5! Straight out of the Ford Falcon era to us!

    Damn, they were GOOD!

  • They sound better in a Olds 425ci Starfire ;)

  • Played before Palace games and when we score, and we sing it when we get bored :D

  • This Song comes one whenever Vale score a goal, tis truely awesome!!! GLAD ALL OVER!!!

  • Hi friend. Thanks. I'm pretty glad all over now too.

  • iam glad all over just for listening lol

  • i saw them perform in totenham just as they relesed their first song

  • That tinny warm sound sure brings back memories.

  • Played as a theme music for Hednesford Town Football Club before their HOME games

    at `Keys Park.`

  • Dave Clark Five were an awesome band!!

  • Man, these guys sound as good and fun to listen to as they did in the 60's. Today's music doesn't even come close to the variety, the tunes and the carefree feelings the music from those days inspired. Good video, thanks.

  • i love 60s music but it doesn't come close to todays variety??? bull, we have all the styles of back than plus 40 years of new ones

  • we do not have styles from the 60's no way name me one modern artist who's genre is under doo wop.

  • i still got the album.

  • i think they were great. saw them live on stage in manhattan about 1965. a great experience. saw the beatles the year before on their arrival. they were wonderful moments in an otherwise difficult decade and time.

  • i went to school with dave,i had a fight with him........i lost, got my 1st black eye.....still it was good to see him get on in the world,as for me iam just an old man now.....

  • nothing wrong with being old

  • Beats the alternative...

    ratphinc said:

    nothing wrong with being old

  • What are your memories of Dave, other than losing a fight?

  • To "alreadyou"...Man, I gotta hear about this fight! How old were you guys? What was it over? And....did you and Dave ever patch it up? Quite frankly, pretty much all the guys I had fistfights with back in "the day" turned out to be my closest, dearest friends. Funny how that works out.

I'll bet if you were to run into Dave now, you'd slap each other on the back, walk into a pub, and laugh like hell. Godbless...Joel in Tucson.

  • What do you think Dave Clark does not understand about "success breeds success"? He, or his music company(ies?) didn't release a CD of their hits until approximately 30 years later. And the CD didn't even come close to as good as the original music (not as if the CD got much publicity either!).

The DC5 were really good. I'd think they'd want the "younger generation" to have an opportunity to know how good they were. And I'll bet some of his bandmates wouldn't mind being "recognized" again.

  • one of there best songs

  • great song

  • Great song, memorable times-miss them! Thanks so much for posting this-keep 'em coming!

  • the memories

  • the DC5 can kick the Beatles's ass.

  • EEEEEEEEAGLES. EEEEEEEEEAGLES.

  • Great song! I heard on the local oldies station in NYC it was the first song written by the songwriter. 1st song becomes #1! Long live DC5!!!

  • Where is the Dave Clark Five song, "Over and Over"? I type it in and just get results for Glad all over

  • D.R.F.C CCC NEXT SEASON !!! W00Pw000p

  • Seagulls!

  • Crystal Palace anthem!!! Eagles till I die

    F**k Brighton

  • Love the song :-)

  • anyone know why they don't play DC5 anymore? at least not in the states.

and i dont think they have any CDs

  • The Animals had very big hits in Canada. They were more popular as DC5. "House of the Rising Sun", "Don't let me be Misunderstood", "Don't bring me down", "See See Rider" were TOP 5 Hits. And ERIC BURDON & THE ANIMALS were also a popular band with "When I was Young", "San Franciscan nights", "Ring of Fire", "Sky Pilot" and "Monterey" (#3). And when did DC5 split?

  • great

  • I love the DC5, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Petula Clark and Dusty Springfield. Rock and Roll is here to stay. It will never die.

  • the dc5 were very big during this period. Historically, in the early period there were Beatles, the Dave Clark 5, the Animals, Stones, Kinks. those were the predominant groups. Glad all Over was a very big song at that moment. In this age of multi group....who really cares... in the early days of groupism...the dc5 and this song were very big. Dave, if you read this please comment?

  • glazed al copeland

  • My favorite band the 60s is THE ZOMBIES!!!

  • Thank you to the LP poster for our memories posterity!

  • feckin classic the best song from the 60's

  • I don't like this song!

The Beatles, The Animals & The Rolling Stones are the biggest british bands in History. Nothing Zombies, Dave Clark 5, Yardbirds...??? Who told this shit? With 2 or 3 hits you could be a great band of today, but in the Sixties you needed more hits!

  • The Dave Clark Five had more than 2 or 3 hits! Hell they were bigger than The Beatles here in Canada, they had around 12 LP's in Canada! The Zombies and The Yardbirds were also great bands! They did some great tunes! Do you even appreciate music when you hear it??

  • The DC5 were never bigger than the Beatles in Canada. They were a superb British Invasion band, but better than the Beatles, are you kidding me!?!

  • I know maybe you don't agree but you can go down to the record shops and see. Any record used record shop in Canada has more DC5 than Beatles. They had better record sales in Canada and at one point they were bigger than the Beatles. The Beatles were also huge in Canada but you can judge by the Capitol 6000 label. There were 15+ DC5 LP's and only 3 beatles LP's on Capitol's Canadian branch..

  • Wow!! Would love the Album!! the only places I can really find them is online or maybe the thrift stores!! and sometimes the Garage sales at church. Great! song!

  • I know a guy who has around 100 DC5 LP's at his shop in Montreal. Every LP by them!

  • I used to think Dave was so handsome. :)

  • COME ON PALACE!!!! UP THE EAGLES!!!!!

  • Brilliant song!

  • I've always been a fan of The Dave Clark Five and this song, to me, always touted that positive expressiveness, powerful and darn good! Definitely dancing music. Definitely an all-time classic of the British Invasion days.

  • When will Vh1 replay the RRHOF?

  • This song was one of a number of exuberant songs rang out in the sixties. But, being Glad All Over was a message which you don't find much today. Loved The Dave Clark Five. Keep on being Glad All Over.

  • That was my first ever record album. Stole it from my mom, and i still have it.

I havent seen or heard the Tom Hanks speach, but if you look at the box that his movie "that thing you do" (which is a personal fave of mine and great songs)came in....well that box is designed alot like the box that DC5's "having a wild weekend" is in.

And so I think that the DC5 and the British Invasion may have been a great time in his (Tom Hanks ) life, like it was for many of us.

    R.I.P. Mike.

  • I wanna see that movie!

  • Felicidades por la incorporacion al salon de la fama del Rock a esta gran banda Britanica.

  • He died in Dec 2006 from cancer aged 63

  • dave's speech at the rock n roll hall of fame tonight was very poignant and paid tribute to mike smith and denis payton. i loved the band so much, best sixties music ever !!!!!!! the hall was very respectful to the band and tom hanks made an incredible introduction.
