I have a slow computer with only 1 GB ram. And my brother has a computer almost the same as my computer (not 100 procent the same parts i think), but he dont want to have the computer so he is selling it to me. Can i just take the 1 GB ram out, and put in my own, turn on the computer, and it will now have 2 GB ram? Or does it have to be installed, or something els to think about so it will work? thanks
To ground yourself you need to touch a grounded metallic object or have an anti static wrist band on.
The easiest way to do this is to plug in your powersupply (don't switch it on) and then touch the casing for 10 seconds. Do that every few minuites to be extra safe :)
For more info go to pcityourself[dot]com/building/introduction
@XxZinnamonxX The way they said is a little extreme but, just touch a door knob or something, when installing components into the motherboard keep the motherboard on top of an antistatic bag, like the one that it came inside.
if you go to our website there is a section on choosing your parts in which we have examples of gaming PCs from £600($1000) up to £1600($3000), I think these will help you :)
Unfortunately youtube will not let me post a proper link on this message but there is a link to the site in the info section above.
