Turkey defeated Greece today rather comfortably. Greece and Turkey are about the same level in terms of basketball ability. Greeks seem to do better in the Euro championships, while Turks seem to do better in the NBA. I think if I were to evaluate these neighbors/rivals, I would say when it comes to football, Turkey has the edge, richer clubs. When it comes to basketball, I'd go with Greece by a slight edge. Both countries are having some solid head to head competitions in most sports.
