@anonymousclay I am talking about from 2-3 years ago when they first started releasing works. Works like Crush Mode and their All the Cash remix. Crush Mode is my favorite mixtape, EP, or LP by them. I just think that We Can Make the World Stop and Drink the Sea were almost passive and polite in a way. I just miss the dirty grimy Glitch Mob. Kraddy was probably a big source of that influence. When he left, they turned more polite. Kraddy's solo stuff continues to be really grimy, though.

@TrainsSeriously Formed in 2006, and first full album released in 2010. They've barely progressed as artists as far as I'm concerned. I can hear the difference in sounds you're talking about, but this is so little of what their body of work will likely become. Most artists sound completely different after their first release, and I can't think of a single artist that sounded the same after one of the founding members left.

@anonymousclay You are right about artists changing. I like this stuff too. It has a different feel. I just miss some of the energy and raw aspects of stuff like Crush Mode. I agree that they will continue to change, but, if they keep going in this direction of polished sounds, I may not like them quite as much. I would say I prefer their earlier sound, but they are both good. With that being said, I am going to go see them live for the second time in exactly a week and am extremely pumped.
