I think you just select him and push Y after you beat his missions. Or maybe it was Ghingham. I know I recorded it whatever it was.

Has to be a real Newtype. When you do Cyber Newtype nothing happens. But you can become a Newtype after being a Cyber Newtype if you want.

But in the the part two video you have, Loran becomes a Cyber Newtype from Amuro and it still works, can you Explain?

It just says Cyber - Newtype in the text. But when you select him it says Newtype under his picture. I guess that's just another one of the numerous translation errors.

There were a few episodes where Gwen had Loran dress up as a woman to show the Moonrace that on Earth even women pilot mobile suits. Or something like that. Really I think he just wanted to see him dressed up like a woman. He always called him Laura anyway.
