I agree with you that the AK74u is NOT overpowered, its just the most used one. I find the G11 is the overpowered one in Black Ops, in all COD games theres that one weapon that gets a bad rep for being overpowered, in COD4 the M16 was a laser beam, but after going to world at war and seeing the MP40, NOTHING is overpowered anymore after that damn thing, thats the only gun in any cod game I would get frustrated with. espically that MP40/Juggernaut/Last Stand combo

The ak74u is far from being overpowered. It is way overused because it is very user friendly. More than any other smg. The ak74u is only lethal close up, and horrible at long range. Overall it is just as good as any other smg up close (excluding the Uzi). The real problem is the aug. The Aug is the Best weapon in Black Ops since the famas nerf. Luckily nobody uses the aug so we are all good. Except for all the ghost corner camping famassholes, am I right?

Sorry dude you really do talk bullshit. No one complained about MP5's on CoD 4, the UMP45's were overpowered. Adjectives are defined by the comparison of other things in the corresponding category. The Model1887 shotguns from MW2 were ridiculously overpowered, albeit probably the most realistic, since the range of a shotgun is not four foot. Regardless, they had unimaginable range compared to the rest of the shotguns, which was a fail. The spas only has good range with a grip. Which is stupid.

Part of the constant complaining is the fact that both IW and 3Arc are absolutely terrible at balancing weapons. People complain about the Akimbo 1887s, so they reduce the range and damage ridiculously, when simple removing akimbo would've done the trick. Your point still stands strong, but I just wanted to say it: balancing a weapon doesn't mean you exaggerate on the complaints, and then turn it into a useless gun. Many developers don't seam to realize this.

A lot of problems with CoD would be solved if Activision allowed IW and 3Arc to have public betas. Even then, the developers may just nerf overused weapons like they did the akimbo 1887s.

on a side note keep in mind that these are war based games and the creators of the games try to make weapons as strong in comparison to what the weapon is like in real life. it should real obvious as to why the ak74u is the most powerful because of the round it uses 5.45×39mm and the other smg's typically use a 9mm pretty much common sense.

The weapons people seem 2 b!tch about are smg's; AK74U, MP40, UMP45 and weapons with high fire rates like the FAMAS and most recently the final LMG. The only reason that the shottys in this game are not taking a beating is because they have no advantage against the SMG's at close range.

ak-74u is actually an assault rifle it fires the 5.45x39mm cartridge. idk why its listed as a SMG. SMG typically fire .45 or 9mm.

The truth is the Ak-74u is UNDERPOWERED. like you said 6-7 rounds per kill sounds like a .22 haha

in reality the 5.45x39mm round is probably the deadliest round availible in a common rifle. the mujahadeen called it the "poison bullet" because of its ability to tumble in soft tissue.

Well, I thought that people didn't like the AK74u because you have lots of people playing with it, and some are really good. I use Ak74u and it actually kind of sucks for me, seeing how it takes like ten bullets to kill someone, but I'm pretty good with accuracy and can get LOTS of headshots. I personally hate the dual wielded shotguns, but that's because I get killed by them a lot. Probably the same for the AK74u.

ACOG snipers are okay, but I always prefer hardscoping with normal scopes because you can control the breathing, unless I use the Wah-Wah 2000. The AR-15 is great, but it's late. They need to push the FAMAS and 74u back that far. That'd be fair, but nope, dumb black guys rely on that shit to look good at the game.

Besides, the Kiparis is better for me than the Ak74u. The MP5K is better than that for me. Obviously half of the SMGs are overpowered. They use the ACOG rifles so they don't have to steady their scope, while still getting one shot kills. Besides, if AK74u got pushed back, you;d start complaining that something else is overpowered.
