Awesome vid Bill! I lived nearby here about the time when you took this vid. Arcadia County right? I miss the days of these collection times. Thanks for capturing this :)
Now this is awesome, i used to have model trucks with these colors, and there was some with the alternate colors of primary white, burgundy stripes etc. they were awesome.
I guess the brown trucks arent totally extinct, then... maybe there are a few otehr areas that happen to use them, but these are few & far between.... i wonder why i see some on the freeways but never can catch them in action anymore.
You are seeing one of them being used right now. If you are ever in the area, they are off of Live Oak Road in the city of Baldwin Park, just east of the 605 freeway.
well, considering that this brown one is still active, would htere be a brwon POD out there by any chance? Ive seen a few on the freeways, but that was all afew years ago
From what I've seen, the only PODs in So-Cal are operating out of Oceanside, I'm unaware of any in the LA/OC County areas. However, when I went to Oceanside to see what was going on, I didn't see any with the old WM maroon. If you've seen one closer to me, let me know, and I'll put it on my hot list.
awesome heil.
