Death's storyline is supposed to be taking place around the SAME TIME as War's quest. War DID ask about the rest of the "Riders" at the beginning of HIS journey and there was something said about that. Pestilence and Famine are supposed to be on separate quests as well but I'm not sure the timeline or WHERE they are.

As amazing and unique as it is darkside 1 looked like a copy of ninja Guideden while this resembles more of a legend of Zelda mixed with some devil may cry and a hint of god of war although these games have a good style legend of Zelda has better story and god of war has way better graphics. And Devil May cry is just better.

Aside from that, Darksiders is a carbon copy of Zelda, if it's a copy of anything. You ride a horse, run from dungeon to dungeon, each dungeon contains an item that both helps you finish that dungeon and exploit it's boss's weakness, AND open the path to the next dungeon. You increase your health and magic with items that come either whole or in pieces. Etcetera

@KausticX Mario is more famous than Zelda, not that I like either. I can claim up to about 10-15 games as better than most Zelda titles (excluding Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, which were decent enough), about 5 or so which are of decent or high popularity (God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Batman Arkham City, Prototype, Darksiders). In the end, personally, I have to agree with Faisalano with Darksiders is a better Zelda. I dare even say it's Zelda done right.

@vgman94 I actually agree, I like DS better than Zelda. But I was taking note mainly of the fan base. Mario is more famous, yes. Another way to say it is that Mario is a used up disease ridden prostitute that Nintendo has whored out for everything from tennis to go-kart racing to fighting. I'm actually quite sick of Mario. But famous though he may be, Mario doesn't have the cult following that Zelda has. Zelda is practically a social culture unto itself. (Out of space, gonna make another post)

The fanbase that accumulated over time due to such games like Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess make it one of the most famous games out there. I will make the concession that Zelda has a more devoted cult and it has trademarks that Mario doesn't really have. If Darksiders evolves well, it may one day attain a similar following, I believe.

It has a gimmick that allows it to essentially repeat the exact same story again and again and somehow never get old. DarkSiders has a superior story, but it's story must evolve to continue. Each chapter is different. It will be difficult for them to keep it up as long as Zelda has. I hope I'm wrong, but I expect DarkSiders will eventually fade away.

I just hope that they actually have more combos. And I hope that most are actually USABLE! I remember getting through the original just by spamming the same combo... over and over and over and over again. I didn't even need to be awake to fully beat the game, but I still enjoyed it.

I thought that the sub weapons would be more... useful, but they're not. I just hope that Vigil really really revamps the fighting and action- I'd like to see more intensity! Something as intense as DMC.

The alternate translation which refers to more contemporary events has Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Pestilence can also be called Plague, since it represents infectious disease. Also, ironically Death is the fourth and final Horseman, not the second. Strife and Fury are simply what the developers chose to rename these horsemen. So now we have Strife, War, Fury, and Death.
