She was a gymnast in school days. Must have had one good set of abdominals in those days...then rheumatoid arthritis, medication, alchohol, depression undoubtedly...there goes that beautifully shaped body and face. It happens to one and all, regardless of arthritis or not. I hope she doesn't do any surgery...that really makes things worse.

Looking at her in the movie "sweet and low down" with Steve Martin...she was a stunner. Well, we've still got the proof she was once gorgeous. Life happens.

Hey everyone has forgotten she is was taking meds for rheumatoid arthritis. This does cause body changes due to side effects, but at least she is able to walk and travel to these interviews.

Yes, she's looking older for her age(Kathleen was born in 54), and alcohol and cigarettes weren't good to her, but despite the fact she's far away from that beauty of 20 years ago, she's still great. And that's why she ain't an empty-minded model whose the unique greatness is beauty. Kathleen Turner is much more than that.

And as for that, we might admire her. And GOD, she's got such a sexy and handsome voice she'll be the future Lauren Bacall!

@DerAdventurer I'm sorry but Kathleen has aged BADLY. And she put on a TON of weight and is a FAR CRY from the sex bomb she was back in her 20's. She will never be as great as Lauren Bacall because Lauren didn't blow up like a POTATO!

It's sad to see what happened to Kathleen. She was so hot so many years ago!

@DerAdventurer I agree with you. And I apologize for the vehemence of my original post. I do realize that Turner suffered from an illness which contributed to her decline in health. So it's not entirely her fault that she gained so much weight. She also had issues of alcoholism and smoking. I agree with you that Turner has or did have one of the sexiest deep feminine voices for the screen.

@DerAdventurer She doesn't look like that because of alcohol and cigarettes, she does because of over 20 years of treatment and medications for her rheumatoid arthritis. If she looses some weight I'm sure she would look amazing again. Beautiful woman.

I know she had some problems. And she definitely isn't as beautiful as she could be if she hadn't gone through all the alcohol and ciggies. But she is truly iconic. Her and Lauren Bacall are so amazing. Why are most actresses just so sleazy now? Scarlett Johanson is probably one of the few sultry stars that has some potential like this.
