Great video! The song is perfect. It's good to know other people in the world get it. It's something you would never understand unless you have owned a GSD!

The sequence that starts at about the 3 minute mark really shows how the GSD very rarely ever truly relaxes. She is laying there, "relaxing," but completely alert and vigilant. I am watching and thinking this and then you zoom into that eye...proving my point.

This is one very happy GSD with a great life.
And she has improved the lives of the humans around her beyond words.
Here, she is romping and playing. Then, she pauses.
Is there anything that I need to do? Are my humans still okay? No threats? Nope, all is well-what can I do next that will be fun? Then another pause and the cycle repeats.

It's so true what you said about her!She's always ready to "watch my back" even while she's chilling with other dogs. She's the best!
