True, but in my opinion, this piece is a little boring to listen to when played that slowly. You don't get the sense of emotion that faster playing evokes because you forget the chords that you heard a while ago.
To add to the pedal discussion: my score has pedal markings throughout the whole piece.
@georgeous134 I don't have my copy of the score with me, but I think it doesn't feature any tempo markings. What's the tempo marking in your score? And where did it come from? Did Bach originally put any markings on the inventions?
@GebhardLied My score has a tempo marking of 100 and is from a registered Grade 4 AMEB book :). By markings do you mean tempo markings or dynamic markings?
What's the title of the album you have? I might be able to borrow it from the library and check out the dynamics. Some editors put in different markings to help the player.
I read somewhere that with truly legato hands, the pedal is not required. But it may be just hearsay. Moreover the score does not have any "con Ped" on it, so I naively assume that the pedal is not required. Are there any pedal directions on your score?

With our without pedal - play the music how you like it, that's what it is for. Not for fulfilling scores ... .
I like it btw.

Yes, maybe I am a bit slower :) But don't forget, fast is not equivalent to good.

Oh I see your point. That is an interesting view. I will remember that when I next play this piece. Thank you for the insight!

My score says no Pedal. It says it right below the first measure.

Yes my score show pedal all the way and you only lift when you change chord.

@SergeVideo It wasn't originally written with pedal markings.
