@gdlowe1 It is call Let It Flow for DR. J. It is by the late Grover Washington Jr. He wrote that after seeing him do the "baseline" move against the Lakers back in 1980.
the docta really did do like a fairwell tour in 86 or 87. i was so small then. he came to the h. i had just left the dentist. he was in sharpstown mall by the old oshman's and it was a longgg line adjacent of the table that he was at. and he was taking his time probably prepared to be there for hours. i walked to the front of the table and stared at him. i didn't know what i was looking at. then he asked, how you doing lil fella. and i smiled. then he asked me, you gotta girlfriend? the docta
Julius might of played above it all,but he didn't act like he was above everyone. Just look at how much he was and still is loved by others, that says it all.
That fast break dunk starting at 5:22 is straight sick! DAMN!! I have never seen another player who could palm the ball off the dribble. That is one of the things that made him so unique.
@tessteekle Probably the only other guy who could do that would be MJ...I mean I've seen him grabbing one-handed rebounds! But anyway Dr J and MJ probably have the best hands in the history of basketball...Ewing also had impressive hands...
he is so beast

Dr. J was unbelievable.
He had moves that were amazing.
He would be the best today.
When I played basketball, I tried to be like him.

Too bad Bob Lee said "In the 1975 all-star game" when it was actually played in Denver in 1976. The ABA STILL gets NO respect...

@soupkilla9 Seeing Dr. J play made it possible for MJ to do his thing, but it was Julius that laid the foundation as you can see.

More than his dunks, I think his air time and finger rolls were the most beautiful thing to watch. Classiest player ever
