This bill had very little effect, I still go by my old high school in my town and see half a dozen under age kids smoking (it's only against the law for them to smoke on school grounds or use fake I.D. to buy tobacco in MA it's not against the law for them to smoke under 18) and another I wanted to bring up is the most popular brand of cigarette they are smoking (marlboro reds) are least regulated because it isn't flavored or a light

NC/VA/KY/Tn- in 1965 when Smoke Act, basicially made tobacco ILLEGAL--a wipeout of farms. 519,000 such farms then; in 2002 46,000. So, land was devalued, bought cheap, & is cheap housing subdivide property sold in what is now termed the "New South," Meantime, kids are put on Ritalan, sugar, psychotropics, etc. so obviously, kids' health may not be real issue. Tob. was grown since dawn of time, lol
