  • I thougth it said Monster Muskies on Weed xD

  • try with dead bait next time!

  • I'd love to fish there in my bellyboat with my flyrod, with big streamers and poppers. That would be amazing!

  • i lost my 100+ pike because the hook was in the net like this 1

    a really fat 1 ^^

  • will muskie hit a buzzbait?

  • @mkwang5

Hells yea, but if said buzz bait ain't Musky grade, said buzz bait will Fail.

  • @iRECKONER And by musky grade you mean those super expensive baits I see posted everywhere? Guess I wont bother Any low cost alternatives? LOL

  • @mkwang5 if your passionate about musky fishing you wont have a problem buying those baits lol im worse then a woman and shoes when it comes to musky gear and tackle!!!

  • @hpiguy

Same hold true for smallmouth. Smallmouth in weeds are an olive green but in the Wisconsin River they're often jet black.

  • did you get all this in one day????

  • @hotdogyman definately not, the average for each boat with 2-3 men on board is about 1 per day.

  • What is the difference between a pike and a muskie?

  • @westkiller24 Pikes have light color and spots on thier body, and Muskie have darker color with lines on their body, Muskie get bigger than pikes though.

  • @Jedhaase Actually the color and patterns of each fish species can differ lake to lake and region to region. Deep water, shallow water, season, forage, etc.

  • @hpiguy Thats true with some fish, but most pikes and muskies are what I said in westkiller24's comment.

  • @Jedhaase Maybe most by you. But you can't make that blanket statement about all of them. In WI we see big differences in the body color and how dark or light it is based on where you are, the water, food, etc. Example, same river, below the dam, musky have a very dark green color, some brownish no stripes. Above the dam, very light green, stripes. Different food types, different water clarity. Pikes here are very dark bodied with yellow markings, not light colored. Either way, happy fishing.

  • @hpiguy Im not gonna make a big deal out of fish species but, I just know that most pikes are light with spots, and muskies are dark with stripes.

  • i fuckin nlost my first muskie ever tonight on th efox river il i was usin 10lb line test we faught for about 2 minutes then boom he zooomed like a rocket lol

  • do muskie and pikes go after spinners?

  • @Jedhaase

Muskie and Pike will attack anything that move, and some things that don't...

  • uhh does the dvd tell us where you are fishing :o

  • @glenandgibbert they are fishing in cedar lake parrault falls ontario. but dude this place is past thunder bay and takes like 18 to 26 hours depending on where you live in ontario

  • this guys voice makes me want to fish sooo badly..

  • We had some good weed muskies going the other day. Great stuff.

  • does these lures work good to pike fishing to? :P

  • @Zadde1337 In sweden they do so probably in your waters too

  • @leovalkama ok i'm from sweden ^^

  • @Zadde1337 i would say yes you should try meps yellow ones i catch them really good with meps

  • @Se3kto45 u know anything about strike pro thats good for trolling after pike?

  • @Zadde1337 no :/

  • A good muskie bait is the new Northland Booty Call spinnerbait (Black Sucker)

  • Do muskies swim in the top or bottom of the water in the summer? and do thye like splashing are thye attracted to were ppl are swimming?

  • Those are some huge fish!

  • thats my problem it slides apart because it has to much lube I don't get it. I have tried but it slides apart I have even tried leaving the knot sit for a day to dry but then it slides apart I will try to use less lube/ spit then I'll write back.

  • what kind of knot do you guys use? I keep using an improved clinch knot but it doesn't stay so I am going to start using the regular clinch knot. PLEASE get back to me as soon as possible

  • @Stuntmaner1 if your knot breaks lubricate it with your spit, the knot heats up from all of the stress which allows easy snaps , i had the same problem bro, lubricate the line and see if the knot will hold then!

  • What is a good reel for throwing magnum and pounder bull dawgs along with the cowgirl spinner baits? I was thinking about a saltwater reel.

  • do u use any scent or something on the bait cause i never caught any thing but panfish with artificial bait go live bait

  • @xTheR4G3Nationx Holy crap! Are you serious?!?!? That makes sense now that you mention it. Hmmm... guess I will quit my quest for a 50 incher! Thanks for the input!

  • @cb7pwn Your line and rod are so weak that you'll need to play a large fish to exhaustion to get him to the boat, which is a good way to kill him. You can catch a sunny with a bare hook, but you don't consistently fish for them that way do you? It isn't all marketing (although there is plenty of that), and you're clearly no authority on muskie. Go back to having fun catching little fish all day from shore, more monsters for the rest of us.

  • @theoander1212 His rod is right strong ya fagit !!

  • I don't know why, but I swear 18-30 inch northerns fight twice as hard as a 30-48 inch muskies.

  • How the heck do you get in his mouth to get the hook out??

  • "there he is right there! woooooo!!!!" hahaha this is awesome

  • CHOPPER

  • @coolbeans, try everything, muskie attack anything, I catch muskie on bass jigs all the time

  • i have never went muskie fishing in my life. I plan on going sometime this summer and this fall, but i was wondering if i have any good baits? I have a gold 9" Bull Dawg 9" green bait with a yellow and orange belly and a black stripe on its back and red eyes, and my dad has a 9" ol' woden plug. So are any of these good?

  • i useally jsut reel them in and grab them by the gills :D

  • but this is an awesome show...great fishin...love it...good catch...looked FUN

  • It's truly incredible how big these amazing fish can get, they are monsters!

  • is that a curado300e i see? lol

  • fight a huge muskie onlite line....it would take to long to land.....equals an exsausted muskie equals death....heavy line is used to mostly pertect the fish from being to weak to release....learn more b4 you speak.....

  • u wont land a world record muskie or pike on 10 pound line.and a 15pound larg mouth will break your 6lb tes without trying.i hope a world record pike bites your 6ld tes......equals no fish and you will be upset for sometime

  • @tanja5856 everybody i know uses 20lb braid and a 20lb leader and we have never had any problems with losing fish

  • 80lb test line? Ya that's really fishing! NOT!!!!!

About as lame as Bass Pros using 60lb test on 6lb bass.

    Wheres the sport in that.

What's that thing on your reel called a drag for?

I have been a serious fisherman for over 20 years and have landed numerous pike and musky over 20 lbs. Never kept one or lost one to stress.

It's no wonder INFISHERMAN went down the tubes.

  • @dewaltcarp What kind of test do you use for pike fishing?

  • @dewaltcarp Hahah Grandpa fishing has changed alot since your day and so has the technology. No true musky fisherman would ever repeat what your said. I'd recommend you scan out the comments above? How about when your fishing large mouth bass in thick weeds, Your going to be putting well over 20 pounds of tension on your line when tugging them through the thick vegetation?

  • Those are huge fish.

Do they live by the sea?

  • @CaptainG23 nope, inland lakes and rivers

  • 80lb line are you fuking kidding me,you could land a shark with that hahahahahahahahahahahah.why don't ye play the fish and tire it out, instead of yanking it out of the water as quick as ye can with that towing rope ye call fishing line.wheres the sport in this hahahaha,20lb line should be plenty: P

  • @eoinfffp fighting fish for a long period of time hurts the fish, and musky are relatively delicate and old. it seems to me that musky fishing is more about the pursuit of the fish then the fight it gives (not to say musky dont fight well)

  • @whambola you can't honestly say that playing a fish and letting it run is going to do more damage then trying to yank i'ts head off with 80lb line?i'm not familiar with musky fishing but i fish for pike which are similar,is it not always about the pursuit of the fish?hey listen i just thought the tackle and technique looked a bit over the top,but i;m not from the usa so i cant really judge, they are a class looking fish though: )

  • @eoinfffp It dosesnt hurt the fish more, for me (i am also a pike fisherman) its nothing about the fish, its about the pursuit, the strike and finally landing your fish

  • @MrFiskefilm i agree the pursuit, the strike, and the land is where the thrill is,but also the prize : ) happy fishing.

  • should have been out today, down on the mighty mud

  • did that muskie at 4:55 have a tag on its bottom fine?

  • I use 50pd and that seems like enough

  • 80 pound test??? noooo nooo noo you dont need all that

  • i never trust a guy that wears so much advertisement.

  • steel leader?

  • do u use stee liter?

  • @camofirekid

    steel leader?

  • @camofirekid You usally use a fluorocarbon-leader for muskies, otherwise you have to replace the wire every other fish since they slash it badly. Fluorocarbon is more abrasive resistant that way. 100lbs leader and heavier.

  • @camofirekid i do it works good

  • @camofirekid i do it works good but i only use it when im cranking

  • Almost lost her on the net job.

  • I catch pike often and enjoy them alot...ive found they really love williams gold lures the best. They do cost 6 dollars apiece or more but theres a reason for it. Quality. Just by looking at them you see the quality is alot better. Also an old williams lure thats thrown into the bottom of a tackle box for 5 years will still look as good as a brand new one....not all rusty and paint chipping off like the cheap knockoff one or 2 dollar painted lures

  • To Clarify, Northern Pike, Gar, Muskie's are all species of the Pike Family. Cheap little lures won't catch much of a Muskie. They break apart. They aren't attracted to much. They get pissed off and territorial, and will strike cause they're big and mean. Ducks, geese, seagulls, I've seen muskie's hit'em all. Find an old Johnson 6 or 9 hp boat motor, slap it on a 14ft aluminum, and troll at mid to high throttle. The noise will make them insane. I advise a 6" locking metal leader w/swivel.

  • I sure like using light tackle,, small jigs and spinners under 6 dollars, not everyone can afford all these over priced lures, quess it's nice to be rich since anyone else is being priced right out of fishing and hunting today,,, Sad but true

  • Being from northern Minnesota, I can tell you that all summer long trolling walleyes on Moose and Deer, we come up on spots where there are litterally 10-20 BIG muskies all hanging on the same drop....just incredible to see...even seen them eat baby ducks and chase schools of bass right up to 6 inches of water

  • Is that a private lake? that is a ton of action.

  • yoou guys THATS A GOOD ONE

  • i just had my first run in with a huge muskie by accident using a flat rap and i think ive become obsessed with this species. ive been fishing all my life but never for muskie. i want to get serious about muskie fishin. one thing i wanna know is why are they attracted to such unworldly looking lures?

  • We call them pike.

  • @Drastam Muskie and pike are diff species of fish but they are really close in looks both are awesome to fish for

  • @saskdevil Actually if you check it out you will find that muskie are a member of the pike family. Thay are a kind of pike.

  • i think the muskie thought okay after 6 ours il take that weird annoying thing.

i ques you can better fish with life bait like minnows and stuff.

  • "Oh boy, she's a hot little number."

  • go to my channl a i will have pics of fish maby in 2 weeks

  • why do they do the boatside figure 8?

  • @suicide5389 because when your muskie fishing and the muskie is following the lure, not biting, you do a figure 8 near the boat and usually the following muskie will strike

  • WoW I've never caught one but boy I wanna!! I live in Maine and we have two places that hold Muskie. A few of my friends have gone and they have done really well a few fish each every day....I gotta get me arse in GEAR! Great Video!!

  • They love the Rapala Clacklin' Rap 08. I fish for smallies and hook into a ski or a couple northerns everytime I go out. I tried one to start with, and a week later had to get a couple more, as their teeth tore it up.

  • Awesome catches, great technique with the following. One time my lure was 3 feet out of the water and a Bass jumped and I was quick enough to release my line and I hit.

  • This is some of the shittiest net jobs I've seen. If my boat partner cost me a fish from that I would kick his ass out the boat.

  • that's my penis!

  • My friend's penis, not mine. I am female, devoid of all penii. I have a cave.

  • 1:21 will get yer heart going!

    Very nice scene!

  • i caught a 45inch musky on the gliding rapala in the susqehana river...pretty legit

  • Great video....getting me itching for muskie already.

  • Yeah me too, but It's to tough here in pennsylvania....I gave up.. It's good out in western pennsylvania in a lake called pymatuning resevoir. Big tv show called "The Next Bite" Did a show out there. And man, if ya ever get the chance get to that lake.

  • Here locally they are accidental catches while fishing for pike/bass. However Lake St.Clair, Upper Niagara River and even the Kawarthas (like Scugog) have numbers, while the first two are more size.

  • its good down here in WV just south of PA....small rivers yield good catches...

  • In those small rivers what way do you fish for the muskies?
