NeoGeo actually out-performs the PS1 when it comes to sprite based games. The PS1 had lots of RAM issues when it came to porting those games and generally did only a decent job because they usually had to cut animation frames for space concerns. The Sega Saturn is a different story. It's RAM expansion cart allowed for arcade perfect ports. I'd say NeoGeo < Dreamcast and up, and put it on par with the Saturn.

This is one of the hardest collections to build.

Just to give you a general idea, USUALLY both versions of the game are on the carts already, you just need a MAS switch to cross it over.

@jpsplat Actually you don't need to spend a whole lot of cash to have a nice collection. Neo geo games have different prices depending on the game, condition of game and who you buy it from. Most aes games are usually in good condition. To tell you the truth, you can get a pretty nice collection if your limit is 100 bucks per game. My limit is 50 bucks and I've been able to get 30 games 3 duplicates and all the games cost me less than 50 each. If I was able to find great deals, you can too.

That is one of the most awesome collection ive seen not even close to mine lol. great col luke i love Neo-Geo, i still remember seeint it back in 92 i was in high school loved hitting the arcades they had SS 1 it was the greatest game i ever saw. Then saw an add on DieHard GameFan Neo-Geo console 1game $600 bucks i was wow no way. really wanted on but could not afford it up till few years ago :) love it.

I think they do - its was about giving the arcade owner more choice and freedom. If they only had 4 titles in and a 6 slot MVS and couldn't play it, that would suck pretty badly. It doesn't matter how many you have in there.

What type of AES you have? AES gold? and can i play both US and JP carts?

The Neo Geo doesn't have any kind of region lockout but be aware that the language displayed is decided by the console and NOT the cart. If you have a JP system all games will play in JP and if you have a US system everything will be in English.

MVS carts were made for the arcade units. The AES carts were made for AES home console. Sadly, no MVS and AES carts are not interchangeable.

I enjoy seeing these collection vids, much like many of your other subscribers, it's interesting to see the different kinds of games that you own, especially with consoles like the Neo Geo, which is far too expensive for some of us to own any games at all.
