Just because he is on the street playing this stuff doesn't mean he doesn't have a kit at home. There are musicians that play street stuff in San Francisco and are in the philharmonic. A lot of people do this stuff for fun or to get back to the roots of music. He appears to be clean shaven in great physical shape and well dressed there is nothing to signify that he lives on the streets or isn't in a band.
