  • I for one am glad its been shelved, oh it will be back, make no mistake. My problem with it is the fact that people (politicians) will bend it to their own needs and not use it for the reason it was thought up for!

  • @lawnboyspost1975 oh no doubt it will return but if it does I still think it will get jumbled up in congress and the same thing will happen

  • I'm against sopa/pipa, however, the problem a lot of people I'm subbed to have, is that they have a very black and white biased opinion on the matter. A lot of people that are in protest fail to recognize the very real problem of piracy on the internet and that it will eventually have to be curbed. These bills though are very dangerous because they have a very broad definition of how to combat the piracy, which will end most of the sites we've come to know and love

  • @metlguitar02 totally agree man there's so many black and white issues that people misinterpret some key things

  • |It's not so much the piracy aspect of the bill so much as it will allow highe corporate conglomerates and associations like the MPAA and RIAA to shut down independent and small studios that would pose any loss whatsoever to their profits by merely suggesting that they have some manner of "pirated" material, even if it's 100% original. Then the government censors them out of existence. It's 100% about big business overtaking small business, and that means no more innovation.

  • @Serraxor I'm not so sure, I see it as something directly faced towards piracy although maybe they are using that as their excuse for the bill?

  • @dragonps Yes, it uses Piracy as an excuse for big business to destroy smaller sites that might take traffic away from the big guys specifically and to keep the profits and traffic only to the biggest companies.. The MPAA and RIAA specifically have HUGE amounts of money flowing through congress to get these laws passed. If not now, then later....

  • @dragonps further more, the law targets foreign sites specifically, so as a Canadian, I'd be more likely to be targeted than any American.

  • what is SOPA exactly dude?

  • @TheCelticValhalla stop online piracy act something that congress was trying to get passed

  • I can't find that news here. But, there's generally been a bit of hush about the topic anyway. The internet traffic portion is what scares me the most. Well, and independent content being much tougher to find, by law. I don't want a McInternet where everything's the same and awful.

The top of your head was spotted flying over Rendlesham Forest and seems to also have caused a British Airways flight on descent to Heathrow to play the automated water crash message to the passengers. Busy day ?

  • @23penguins32 lol epic comment dude and yeah I see where your coming from
