Maybe. Maybe not. Lee is simply a fighter, Silva is an mma fighter who fights with rules. Lee would have no problem going for a crotch shot, eye gouge, small joint maniuplation, and other things prohibited by organized sanctioned sport combat in UFC.
Secondly, they were from different eras, and it can be argued that Lee invented mma by being the first to develop a technique (jeet kune do) which combines many fighting forms (gung fu, karate, even fencing, etc.). Without Lee there'd be no Silva.

I love MMA, and a huge fan and practicioner of Muay Thai and BJJ, yet I think Bruce Lee without a doubt would win against Anderson. Bruce Lee was crazy fast, and really strong as well. He also knew a far "Deadlier" fighting style, considering Muay Thai is 8 point striking.

@TGUNZ562 actaully it happened but not like in the movie. bruce hurt himself from to much weight on a lower back exercise and he suffered from the rest of his life(1970-73). the fight to teach non-chinese was real and witnessed(1964), the other chinese was running around alot and bruce had to catch up to him to beat him up but he was tired after he made him give up, thats when he realized he needed REAL world-power which is everything, cardio,strength training,circuit training, interval training

Anyone who says he could knock Bruce Lee out is off their trolley, Even Silva himself has said he would stand no chance due to Bruce's discipline methods which was off the scale compared to todays fighters (who themselves are extremely disciplined). Just because Bruce got into the movie business (Just like a lot of UFC fighters I might add) does not mean he would not destroy any human who stood in front of him. Really, you need to research and read about Bruce Lee before arguing over this.

@Jimborocknroll90 so its not really a matter of beign advanced to make something appear differently on film. if you watch films from the 20s and 30s the movements appear very fast because less frames were used, a camera that uses 30 fps will be real speed and a camera using 15 fps will be much faster. just more or less frames. i dont need to learn about martial arts from films anyway, silva is a real fighter.

Now on the street whoever has a gun is the winner. Maybe. Maybe not. Lee is simply a fighter, Silva is an mma fighter who fights with rules. Lee would have no problem going for a crotch shot, eye gouge, small joint maniuplation, and other things prohibited by organized sanctioned sport combat in UFC.
Secondly, they were from different eras, and it can be argued that Lee invented mma by being the first to develop a technique (jeet kune do) which combines many fighting forms (gung fu, karate, even fencing, etc.). Without Lee there'd be no Silva.

I love MMA, and a huge fan and practicioner of Muay Thai and BJJ, yet I think Bruce Lee without a doubt would win against Anderson. Bruce Lee was crazy fast, and really strong as well. He also knew a far "Deadlier" fighting style, considering Muay Thai is 8 point striking.
Bruce Lee takes it if it's Stand up.
Anything else isn't Bruce Lee's style, and he uses weapons alot (Kung Fu and JKD atleast).

Bruce Lee died age 32. Anderson Silva is already 34, so your "he's too old" statement is nonsense.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, with the amount of practice and research Lee did into every aspect of combat, he could reach a VERY high level of proficiency in BJJ in that 2 years. People forget that Lee had a good 3-4 years of intensive wrestling knowledge, and in actual fact, was probably aware of BJJ, even if he never practiced it.

Um dude, he is TOO OLD, anderson silva has been practicing BJJ for more than a decade, the older you start doing something, (basketball, football, boxing, mma etc) the harder it gets theres no way Bruce Lee would survive on the ground with 2 or even 3 years of training,

Theres no guarantee the fight would even last long enough for Silva to use his BJJ training anyway Lee says it best himself, "to reach me, you must move to me. Your attack offers me a chance to intercept you". Lee's way is to take out the opponent as quickly and efficiently as possible.
