Also, it's one of the most spectacular places on Earth, with all the lights and skyscrapers. New York is also a very significant place for many people. I don't see any harm in porting the franchise to consoles. I am an owner of both a pc and ps3 and I actively use both for gaming. By porting to consoles this will not only gain a larger fanbase but will generate a larger income for both ea and crytek. I mean let's face it, when it all comes down to it, gaming is money driven just like any other industry.

If you want a game that requires a high level of thought and constant attention i reccomend something along the lines of a tactical shooter.

Because they had to optimize the engine for consoles, it turned out it ran phenomenal on PC :) Previous Crysis games were not able to run on highest settings as smooth and beautiful as Crysis 2 does on my PC. looks mad, graphics, physics and realism (apart from the fact that is is kinda set in the future by a few years and has killer robots) will be unbeatable, crytek have worked their asses off to make this.
Crysis was amazing, this will be even better, but the scenery of the island in the first two was much nicer for graphics.
Also of note, I noticed one of the aliens at 0:43 was glowing red. Just like how the nanosuit would glow red in strength mode. And at 0:46, another alien seems to start cloaking.
So apparently the Aliens decided the nanosuits are a good idea too. That works in with the "The Aliens adapted to fight humanity better" theory that's been going around concerning the sudden change in appearance.
But if they did take most interesting feature out then crytek are simply promoting their engine on consoles so other developers take advantage of capabilities then crysis 2 will be supreme on pc, if they did retrrict the cusomization on pc since i cannot see anything familiar to compete in todays market then i question thier direction on crysis2 not engine, this comments in regards to customisiation multiplatform changes .

20% of this game couldn't be done on Unreal Engine 3. Crytek has their own engine, this one is their newest, Cryengine 3. When the Unreal Engine looks this good, It's probably in version 7.

You'll be able to experience the full power of the Cryengine3 on PC. Graphics and physics wise. You can see comparison videos and textures are lower in quality objects cannot be seen from very far (thats why they said theres going to be a lot of missions but in small clumped parts of the city). Now the thing is PC does cost a lot more to get the full amazing effect but can also do a lot more than consoles. Beleive me I don't think Crytek would waste the power of the engine on PC.
@EliteXOspartaOX they wont it takes place some years later plus they wouldnt this far in. also if you see the small ones on two legs are just the aliens with no exoskeleton with a smaller one more advance from the first game. my prediction is that in the first game the aliens did signal there "home planet" forgot when though. and these are the aliens come to take revange and kill us. if you remember in the first game the aliens were thousands of years old.

I wonder if this one is going to be hours of being led by the nose like the last one. The graphics were great but the game itself left a lot to be desired. FPSs don't have to be empty husks with no substantial AO!
The CRY 3 System gives a helping hand to computers that cant cut it, u wont get as good graphics as a mod computer but u will still get the best graphics around its because of the cry 3 system helping your computer without it your computer would blow up fingers crossed :P

So far, what I've seen of Crysis 2 trailers and the like doesn't really impress me. It seems to have nothing of its awesome prequel in it except for the Nanosuits and the alien invasion. Clearly this is just a game that was planned only after they found out how much money was in the Crysis series.

EA fucked up crytek just like it fucked up about everything including C&C4! EA only wants the fucking money that's why they get out a new NBA or Fifa game each 5 months, all they do there is add 1 more player!

the 360 version uses another engine, so its not oing to look as good as ps3 or pc. but pc is going to look better than ps3. if your pc can handle crysis 2.

@devasation8 ya they lowered the graphics a lot because crysis 1 wouldn't even process on console it was just lag and freeze happy they lowered the graphics a little and made the levels smaller and less open, but i stiil cant wait for the game im getting it for xbox just cuz my pc barely ran the first one

You'll be able to experience the full power of the Cryengine3 on PC. Graphics and physics wise. You can see comparison videos and textures are lower in quality objects cannot be seen from very far (thats why they said theres going to be a lot of missions but in small clumped parts of the city). Now the thing is PC does cost a lot more to get the full amazing effect but can also do a lot more than consoles. Beleive me I don't think Crytek would waste the power of the engine on PC.

@EliteXOspartaOX they wont it takes place some years later plus they wouldnt this far in. also if you see the small ones on two legs are just the aliens with no exoskeleton with a smaller one more advance from the first game. my prediction is that in the first game the aliens did signal there "home planet" forgot when though. and these are the aliens come to take revange and kill us. if you remember in the first game the aliens were thousands of years old.

@EliteXOspartaOX Yes, that's a pity.... On C1, they looks like artefacts, for the most of them (small ones, main body of the big flying ones, flying citadel, crab...)
But in this one, they only looks mechanical...
And I prefer the blue than red, that was better looking... Now, méchanic+red evoque me Terminator, or Cylons... Their design looks a lot like Appleseed's robots.

I wonder if this one is going to be hours of being led by the nose like the last one. The graphics were great but the game itself left a lot to be desired. FPSs don't have to be empty husks with no substantial AO!

The CRY 3 System gives a helping hand to computers that cant cut it, u wont get as good graphics as a mod computer but u will still get the best graphics around its because of the cry 3 system helping your computer without it your computer would blow up fingers crossed :P
