This new business class seat is crap and completely obsolete. If Korean Air seriously competes against Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, at least Korean Air should have produced 1-2-1 layout business class seats and no more 2-2-2 or 2-3-2 layout and no more that blue color: simply it looks cheap. Hope in the future, Korean Air will produce much better than that business class seats.
I am a Korean, but frankly Korean Air and Asiana have been lagging behind its Asian competitors (such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific) in terms of upgrading their business class seats to lie-flat bed on their long-haul flights.
@JWalker156 KE or any commercial airline is in business for profit, not to impress folks. Upgrading seats is to be done by needs, and its priority is set by routes and market segments. What I mean is that KE is not competing with SQ or CX in most of routes for their passenger demographics. As for the long haul flights, Korea-USA seats are totally fine and most upgraded as far as I've seen. Around the time your comment was made, it is possible that the seats were old ones.
This makes me want to forget studying for finals and go to bed :S
