was thinking of applying here for september 2012 but am thinking against coming here as it looks like the uni is going down the swanny and probably won't be here next year or not for much longer at least, and i wouldn't want my qualifications to become collectors items.

It is sad to see this! In the 70's colleagues & I received an excellent education here from dedicated management and lecturers,which stood to us in our later careers.

Please explain to me why capitalism is to blame?

In the UK, the GOVERNMENT FIXES THE PRICE of TUITION (PRICE FIXING!!! That is NOT capitalism). The current price is now 3225 for EU/home students. The universities receive funding from the government. Now there is a recession, massive deficits, money goes to BANKS, and there are funding cuts for education.

THE GOVERNMENT IS TO BLAME, NOT FREE MARKETS.
