I mean the e46 is one of my favorite cars and i still want one, but in my book Audi has the upper hand. And especially now, almost every other lux car I see in my area is a audi vs. merc, bmw, porsche, and volvo....
I feel like there a better "all around/jack of all trades" car whereas bmw is focused on one thing, performance...

BTW Im going to buy a A6 4.2 instead of a BMW 545i. I know BMW has a bit better engine and is a bit faster but im driving a lot in bad weather and than a quattro is a big advantage. So under the line Audi, BMW and Merc are all on same level. Each of them has pro and contra and it depends on you which one is better

More whp less drive train loss etc. there is a myriad of factors that led to the results shown in the vid. Dad is paying for a new house and i just bought a R35 which will be delivered next January. Just a tip to all who wants to buy bimmer m3 e92 in the future, Sop it before its too late! Buy a c63 amg instead of e92. It's worth it!
Both great vehicles but the M3 has a MUCH better power to weight ratio. I believe that RS4 was built to compete with the older gen M3 (one before this). I am interested to see what the new RS4 (if Audi produces one) would do against this M3 since it should have a lighter frame than the last RS4…either way those 2 companies need each other to keep making us better cars ;-)
Both are good cars. I like them both but what a lousy M3 driver, couldn't take those corners properly. M3 is faster than RS4 in corners if driven properly.
The rs4 has an awesome acceleration from a dead stop. Even though it's a 4 door sedan, older model and an a heavier AWD, in the usual traffic light to traffic light street race, can embarrass the newer M3...

For me my 08 M3 was "THE BEST CAR" until i traded it with 08 RS4. This thing is so easy to drive here with relatively heavy snow and rain. I was not able to take my M3 out in rain or snow (missed 2-3 accidents ....thank god came out safe) put it back in garage lol... RS4 has amazing stability. Restricted to Summer times love M3. put it in garage for 8 months for 4 months fun is no fun lol. So sad RS4 is M3 for all seasons lol. Thats my opinion if u have a heavy foot haha.

I have driven both of these cars and the Audi feels much more aggressive than the m3, it also sounded better. the m3 is faster but only after about 200kmh will it catch the audi which gets off the line more quickly as demonstrated in the video above. both great cars but rs4 is faster in real world driving regardless of weather thanks to its awd. the m3 is impressive on a track but if I had to choose it would be the audi.

@hunker8 twat there is M3 4 door witch is the same numbers and specs as a coupe,so in this case you can compare them////M3 to RS4,M5 to RS6 this is how it always was,the new S coupe models came out only because the audi was going down on sales so they had to improve it and it's no answer for anything.
