@poli45 We started working on the basic design in the fall of 2009 and worked for about 3 months. When the 2010 game was announced, we decided to use the swerve, built a new chassis and modules, and then began programming again. It is a long process. We aren't really done yet. Are you using C++ or Labview? We used C++ and might be able to give some guideance.
@shadoryder swerve drive can usually turn, i think. this looks like it might actually be crab drive, though, which couples the rotation of all 4 wheels. it should be able to resort to tank drive in order to turn, but it might have poor performance since there are only 4 wheels. great job guys!!
