As Britain laid claim and settled the Falklands BEFORE Argentina existed as a nation then the case is closed. As long as the Falkland islanders themselves want to stay British then they will be. If they decide to be part of Argentina then they will be. It's in their hands at the end of the day. I also disagree with your assertion that English has been spread by the US. As much as you may wish to believe it for political reasons, very few objective academics would agree. There are many reasons why English has spread, but remember that only 80 years ago 20% of the world was controlled by the British Empire... 460 million people (4x the population of the US back then) had an incentive to speak English - it was basically in the right place at the right time to become the global language.

Truth is the Argentine government doesn't want the Falkland Islands.
They use the islands to whip up Jingoistic frenzy that diverts the public's attention from their own failure with the economy.
In order to do this, the Argentine public must be a bit naive - I'm sure they are, their democracy is very new.
Populations in established democracies have a healthy cynicism about politicians. Of course there are gullible people in every country, but the Argentine public do seem easy to manipulate.

@menacinghat what planes did the US give the British? the planes used in the conflict were Harriers a British aircraft, the US supplied AIM 9L sidewinders for air to air defence( at a price) and long range weather reports, depending on how may Argentine pilots shot down by Harries were actually killed the US played very little part in killing Argentines. the total number of engagements by Argentine and RAF against each other is 28 with the Harrier victor in all encounters.

In time Argentinians and Falklanders can get to know eachother in a friendly way, and engage in relationships, have children together and the end result is a people with a more friendly attitude to what will be over that time a "better" Argentina. Then the islanders may willingly be part of Argentina with the UKs blessing. Simple as that.
